Preparation H is an American brand of medications that is made by Pfizer, used in the treatment of hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are caused at least in part by inflamed blood vessels, and most versions of Preparation H work by reducing inflammation in blood vessels. The company that makes this product incorporated in 1926 as American Home Products (AHP) and "one of AHP's earliest prizes was the acquisition of a sunburn oil in 1935 that the company transformed into Preparation H, which became one...

Dermatop Cream Prednicarbate

Prednicarbate is a relatively new topical corticosteroid drug. It is similar in potency to hydrocortisone. Corticosteroids have always been an important part of the pharmacological arsenal of dermatology; however, their tendency to produce side-effects has caused the need to search for new preparations.[1] It is nonhalogenated.[2] References ^ .mw-parser-output cite.citation{font-style:inherit;word-wrap:break-word}.mw-parser-output .citation q{quotes:"\"""\...

against joint pain ## Is anaconda cream supposed to be applied on the hemorrhoids or any sore within the rectal area? ## Can I use the anaconda cream to apply on hemorrhoids ## Just for the record, Anaconda cream is marketed for male genital enhancement... Are we speaking about the same product here? If you're treating hemorrhoids, perhaps something like Preparation-H may be better suited for your needs? And if you're trying to alleviate joint pain, I don't think Anaconda cream is within the realm of prospective treatment options. Depending on the severity of joint pain, anything from NSAID's to narcotic pain relievers or muscle relaxers seem to be more in line with that type of ailment, at least in my opinion. Who manufacturers the Anaconda cream you're thinking of?

Icy Hot Extra Strength Pain Relieving Cream Menthol + Methyl Salicylate

Liniment (from the Latin linere, to anoint), or embrocation, is a medicated topical preparation for application to the skin. Sometimes called a heat rub, liniments may be water-like in viscosity or formulated as a lotion or balm and are usually rubbed in to allow for penetration of the active ingredients. Patches, sticks, and sprays are also available. Liniments are typically sold to relieve pain and stiffness, such as from sore muscular aches and strains, or arthritis. These are typically fo...

Can this cream be used to treat plantars warts on the bottom of the foot? ## Hi Kim, Information on the packaging label indicates that Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream is indicated for the treatment of cutaneous candidiasis. It doesn't specify whether or not it can be used to treat anything else outside of that, but who knows, it may be worth a shot if it's the only thing you have at your disposal. The dosage and administration guidelines note the following: "Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream is usually applied to the affected areas twice daily in the morning and evening by gently and thoroughly massaging the preparation into the skin. The cream should be discontinued if symptoms persist after 25 days of therapy." You can view the manufacturer's la...

is there a substitute for preperation H that is milder? ## Apparently there are two versions of Preparation H. One which is supposed to be more effective than the other in retrospect to the active ingredients. There is an American version and a Canadian version which is considered the more effective cream. The most sought out difference between the two is that the American version left out one of the main ingredients Bio-Dyne; an ingredient used to further remove any bags from under the eyes. A lot of customer reviews state that it is considered a must-have once you have tried the Canadian version. effudex cream for pre-cancerous skin treatment ## I think you mean Efudex. Efudex and Carac are prescribed for the treatment of actinic or solar keratoses (small red horned growths or flesh-colored wartlike growths caused by overexposure to ultraviolet radiation or the sun). Such growths may develop into skin cancer. When conventional methods are impractical--as when the affected sites are hard to get at--the 5 percent strength of Efudex is useful in the treatment of superficial basal cell carcinomas, or slow-growing malignant tumors of the face usually found at the edge of the nostrils, eyelids, or lips. Efudex is available in cream and solution forms. ## Based on my research, Efudex (fluorouracil) Solutions and Cream are topical preparations that contain the fluorinated pyrimidine 5-f...

I'm taking the antibiotic for a UTI, I was wondering if it would help or not with my poison ivy? ## Hi Kimberly. Generally, for poison ivy treatment, a cortisone preparation may be prescribed as well, which can be taken orally, injected, or applied locally as a cream. If it got infected, then I would definitely give Nitrofurantoin a shot at it for 5-10 days, depending upon what your doctor suggests. I heard of another poison ivy victim using Azithromycin 250 mg 2 times daily for 5 days for relief, in conjunction with steroids/cortisone. Were you able to get it checked out by a physician yet?
