Does toviaz have less side effects than oxybutynin ## No, it doesn't appear to, it seems the side effect risks are about the same, blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness and decreased ability to sweat. Learn more Toviaz details here. However, if you're experiencing a lot of side effects with the Oxybutynin, then you may want to try it, because you may experience less with the Toviaz, depending on how your body reacts to it. I take 15 mg Oxybutynin ER in the evening. This morning it came out whole in my stool. What's going on? ## Hello, Karin! How are you? I understand your concern, but I can assure you that it's completely normal. Some time released medications, such as this one, use the outer shell as part of the time release mechanism and it is not intended to be dissolved by your stomach acid. Think of it this way... the outer shell basically has 2 little holes in it, that are covered by a light coating and not very easy to see, the inner components are something similar to a sponge, plus the active medication... when you swallow the pill, your stomach acid dissolves that thin coating over the holes, then the sponge starts to absorb some stomach acid/fluids, which forces the medication slowly ou...
