Can buspar and Diphebdydramine be taken together with out any bad side effects or causing death also what should the dosage be for both medications ## Hello, Sol! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between the two, but it is always best to double check such information to be safe. You should not exceed or change your doctor's dosing instructions, unless they tell you to change something. Is there anything else I can help with?

Why no mention of the sleeping pill Toquilone? It is a prescription-only drug containing 250mg methaqualone and 25mg diphenhydramine, available in several countries and quite popular in Switzerland & Belgium. Very effective, it used to be marketed in the UK under the name Mandraxâ„¢. ## The main reason is due to the fact that we are based in the U.S., even though our site does get international users. This means that if something isn't approved and available in the U.S., we often don't have any information on it, until someone like you mentions it, or asks about it! :-) Are there any questions or comments?

Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen,[a] is a medication used to treat fever and mild to moderate pain.[11][12] At a standard dose, paracetamol only slightly decreases body temperature;[11][13][14] it is inferior to ibuprofen in that respect,[15] and the benefits of its use for fever are unclear.[11][16][17] Paracetamol may reliev...

It a small round plain white tablet. I'm would just like to know the mg before taking ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? I can't tell you anything about it without some markings or something to go by, if there aren't any, we can't even be certain of what the tablet contains. That said, Diphenhydramine is actually not a sleep medication, it is an antihistamine that can cause drowsiness as a side effect, that is often augmented when Acetaminophen is added, so it is often used to help induce sleep. Do you know anything else about the tablet you're questioning?

Can diphenhydramine 50mg be used for cold and cough? ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you? It is an antihistamine, so it may help a little, but it will not do anything to eradicate the cold itself, that just has to run its course. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness and dry mouth. They also have a version specifically to help with cold symptoms that contains additional ingredients. Are you on any other medications? ## Not for the cold, but for diabetes and hypertension.

Is it possible to purchase diphenhydramine, viscous lidocaine, and Maalox over the counter for my IBS? ## No, this form of Lidocaine is not available over the counter, since the FDA warns that it carries the risk of causing side effects, which may include dangerous cardiac reactions. The other two, however, are freely available. What has your doctor advised you to take to treat it? ## I took this oral suspension of Diphenhydramine, Lidocaine Viscous, Maalox, that was prescribed to my husband. I took it because I had a lot itching in my throat. I started noticing that my mouth went numb and my throat was closing. I got very anxious and my left arm was tingling. I was about to call the ambulance but right now I feel better.

I am taking a combination of lidocaine, diphenhydramine and nystatin for thrush that I get often from chemo, but this one seems different from the medicine I usually take and I am not liking it too much. Is this the magic mouthwash or did they give me something different? It costs less so that made wonder why. ## Hello, Ginny! How are you? There is no specific mix for magic mouthwash, it really depends on what your doctor orders, and what your pharmacy has in stock, when they create it for you, since it is not an actual manufactured product. The ingredients, and the amounts of them can vary from area to area, and from doctor to doctor. What about it seems different? The FDA lists the typical side effects of this ingredient as including mouth/throat numbness, funny taste, and nausea.

I take 325 mg of naproxen 2x a day for knee pain. Can I take 1-2 capsules of 25 mg of Diphenhydramine for allergy relief? Just for one evening. Not planning on taking any more. ## Yes, you can take them together, as long as your doctor approves. If you check the ingredients of some of the pain relief PM medications you'll find that they actually use Diphenhydramine in most of them to help people sleep. With that noted, the Naproxen may potentiate the drowsiness side effect and it could knock you out for the day, so make sure you won't be driving, or operating any heavy machinery. Other side effects may include dizziness, dry mouth and blurred vision. The FDA classifies Naproxen as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical sid...

What sweetener is used in the Diphenhydramine HCL tablet and is it safe to give to dogs for allergies? ## I'm sorry, but without more details, such as the specific manufacturer you're asking about, I am unable to answer your question about any particular tablet, since the inactive ingredients may differ from one manufacturer to another. However, what I can tell you is that dogs cannot have the artificial sweetener Xylitol, it is toxic to them. Others, however, are generally considered safe in small amounts, but it should be noted that Sucralose, and a couple others, may cause diarrhea or GI upset, in our canine friends. Ref: AKC Artificial Sweetener Safety The best advice I can give is to double check the ingredients, before dosing your pup, and if in doubt, ask your pharmacist....
