Why no mention of the sleeping pill Toquilone? It is a prescription-only drug containing 250mg methaqualone and 25mg diphenhydramine, available in several countries and quite popular in Switzerland & Belgium. Very effective, it used to be marketed in the UK under the name Mandraxâ„¢. ## The main reason is due to the fact that we are based in the U.S., even though our site does get international users. However, they aren't usually seen as liquigels, anymore, except in some products like the Advil PM ones. It my cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness and dry mouth. I can't tell you anything about it without some markings or something to go by, if there aren't any, we can't even be certain of what the tablet contains. That said, Diphenhydramine is actually not a sleep medication, it is an antihistamine that can cause drowsiness as a side effect, that is often augmented when Acetaminophen is added, so it is often used to help induce sleep. I am taking a combination of lidocaine, diphenhydramine and nystatin for thrush that I get often from chemo, but this one seems different from the medicine I usually take and I am not liking it too much. I take 325 mg of naproxen 2x a day for knee pain. Can I take 1-2 capsules of 25 mg of Diphenhydramine for allergy relief? Just for one evening. Not planning on taking any more. ## Yes, you can take them together, as long as your doctor approves. If you check the ingredients of some of the pain relief PM medications you'll find that they actually use Diphenhydramine in most of them to help people sleep. With that noted, the Naproxen may potentiate the drowsiness side effect and it could knock you out for the day, so make sure you won't be driving, or operating any heavy machinery.
