I too have been a long time user of Brondecon elixer for asthma. Because of the stupidity of a few who OD'd with the dosage the rest of us now have to suffer the loss of this extremely uselful medication. The theophylline tablets take more than 30 minutes to work whereas the elixer was very rapid. This is another expamle of something that was discontinued that defies logic. ## My daughter has had it since a very young girl and it is wonderful, now on steroids and that can only be taken for a short peroid of time, did't have to take steroids when on the brodecon for asthma now back to the same old sickness. Y is it that the majority suffer for the minority idiots. When you are very sick and on oxygen and a simple thing from the chemist can work why can't something be done. MM...

I have used this since the 80s now I can't find it anywhere. Why? ## Hello, Sheila! How are you? From what I found listed with the FDA, Ornex contains Acetaminophen and Pseudoephedrine, which means that it is no longer kept over the counter in the store. You don't need a prescription, but you do need to ask for a medication like this at your pharmacy and sign for your purchase. Typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, insomnia, dry mouth and nervousness. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I remember Brondecon in the early 80's and I can categorically say it is the most disgusting tasting thing I've ever had put down my throat! My mum had to make me lay down on the kitchen floor where she sat on me to pin me down to get me to swallo...
