My 15 year old daughter is on 60mg of acutane for two months now. She recently woke in the middle of the night with severe stabbing pains in her stomach which resulted to a trip to the emergency room. After numerous tests and blood work there was no diagnosis. I am wondering if this could be a side affect of the acutane. I myself took acutane over 20 years ago and only had the common side affects of dry skin and chapped lips. I was diagnosed In February this year with a haemorrhaging stomach ulcer. Biopsies showed no H-Pylori and no cancer but some baterial activity. I have no typical ulcer symtoms no pain and no acid reflux. I have been treated with anti-biotics and flagil plus a blood transfusion in February and again in June on account of red blood cell count being below 7. I have also been on Topzole since February and the dose of Topzole has been doubled since June. Since I do not suffer from acid reflux is Topzole the correct drug for me? My fiance was in a car accident on December 3, 2013. Following the accident, he had extreme back pain, but nothing showed up on an X-Ray. Hi I've been taking Celecoxib 100mg for 4 months now, it works great for my chronic pain but recently I've noticed it is making my stomach upset? Like diarrhea wise.
