I have been taking subs for about 5monthes now...had tapered down to 1mg a day and then I messed u and took 2-4 mg a day for about a week. Now I can't get anymore and I only have about 1 and a quarter of a pill left ( About 10 mg) ...am I going to be able to use this small amount to be able to taper enough to have light enough withdrawls symptoms so that I can still go to work...or am I screwed? ## IT is difficult to say, since it does contain the narcotic Buprenorphine, you may experience withdrawals, but the severity can vary from one person to another. It may best to try to plan your taper and the time you stop taking it for when you have a day or two off of work. The withdrawals can cause rebound pain, fever, chills and nausea. If your symptoms become severe, you can always go t...

im looking for free Suboxone. My dr prescibe it but the cost is prohibited. Can you help obtain this drug cheaper. Thank you, jason Marino ## Hi jason, From what I could gather, I'm not aware of any organizations or pharmacies offering free Suboxone with a valid prescription. However there are a number of coupons available to the public online that I know of, which may be helpful to you in saving a good portion of the cost. One of the more popular prescription coupon sites that may be of help is medicationcoupons.com/suboxone_coupon They mention a savings of up to $45 each time you fill your Suboxone prescription. Hopefully others on here will have their own recommendations for you, but this is a solid one in my opinion. ## I need help ASAP. My dr prescribed me suboxone 8mg. I'v...

I am dependent on norco 10/325 and was taking between 7-10 per day. I want to get off of them completely but the withdrawals are way too intense. I want to know a way to do so safely and comfortably. My situation is that on thursday mid day i had taken my last norco. By friday morning i had started feeling the withdrawal. I had gotten a 8mg suboxone and only took half and withdrawal went away really quickly all day friday. All day sat i was still fine on only the half then sat night i started feeling the withdrawal again so i took the other half. The rest of the day i was fine and all day sunday and all day monday. I have another suboxone tablet just in case it happens but am i doing this safely and will it work to get off everything completely? ## Dear dan, it all depends on how long u...

Random question...I have a place where I keep all my meds and I was bedridden today so my dad had to get my dose for today for me. I had a sub in there and he was supposed to give me my Oxycodone today. I am sure he gave me the sub by accident. I took it at 11am does anyone know how long the half life of that would be so I know when my Oxycodone will work again? I am hurting pretty badly! I've never taken subs before so I don't know a thing about them. ## It usually takes about 3 days, before other opiates will work for you, again. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

is a 4mg tablet of suboxone a half of tablet or a whole tablet...could someone please explain this to me...8mg 2 mg what is what?? ## There are 2 dosages available, which contain the Buprenorphine and Naloxone, one is a 2mg/0.5mg and one is an 8mg/2mg, so yes, to take 4mgs, you'd have to take half of the larger tablet. I am questioning a pill. The doc said to my friend it is a new suboxone however i cannot locate it anywhere. Its is a round orange pill with an orange flavor with the imprint of a dagger on one side i think and i cant see what the other side says. it may have a coating of sorts on it. Has anyone heard of this new suboxone shape? ## normal suboxone 8mg tablet is kindof big, octogon shape with small cross shape on one side as well. It is not a "new" suboxone tablet, however. If you bring it to any pharmacist and show it, they will confirm what it is. They won't take it from you either. Hope this helped. Thanks, Grace Patient Services Manager ## the newer generic suboxone pills that are round instead of octagon and dont have the cross on it either, they are definitely suboxones...

I have been on (Suboxone) for about 2 months now,I take 8mgs or break the tablet in half.I have noticed that taking this i do not have the need for anti-depressants like i did or nerve pills and even my ADD medicine.I have not stopped it all together but have went 2 weeks with out it and felt great.I just wanted to know if other people have noticed this who are taking other medications. ## While it contains the narcotic Buprenorphine, which is technically a depressant, it does have the opposite effect on some people. That fact, coupled with the high it can cause some people, is a major contributing to fact to why there are so many that end up abusing narcotics and becoming addicts. Are there any other comments or questions?

Went to my sub. dr. yesterday and he lowered my dose of 12mg per day to 8mg. or one film strip. I told him I want to get off sub. completely so he,s gonna taper me down to very low dose. I asked him about WDS. and he assured me that there would be next to none. I doubt this. He told me he would prescribe Tramadol when I got off the Suboxone and then wean me off it. Has any one tried or heard of this method? ## I've not heard of tramadol being used for WDS, but I tried it for pain once. It made me feel creepy, gabe me wierd dreams, and didn't help with my pain ( kind of like me subox expierence). Everyone is different though, and it migh work for you. We are all different. ## I also tried it for pain a long time ago and it did not work. Are you off suboxone, were the wds bad as t...

I am on 8 mg og Suboxone a day. I take it at 6am. I know it should last atleast 24 hrs, but it seems as if I go to sleep during the day, I wake up sick. Is this possible, that when I'm sleeping my body burns off the suboxone quicker? ## No, that doesn't make any sense. When you are asleep, your metabolism actually slows down, so if anything, it should take longer to process a medication. Have you spoken to your doctor about this problem? It is highly possible that the current 8mg dosage you are on isn't enough for you. Another problem that may cause you to wake up sick, has to do with the same slowing of your metabolism when you sleep. And it has to do with if you are eating or drinking anything, before you lay down. Are you doing this? When you do this, the items you ingest...

There is no 10mg suboxone though. It is 8mg suboxone and 2mg naloxone. The imprint on the front side isn't a D, it's a crescent moon, the logo of the manufacturer. I hope this helps!

I am on day 2 of w/d from a hefty norco addiction and was attempting to cold turkey it with the help of prescribed 5mg valium I am prescribed for anxiety. I ended up feeling pretty sick (of course) and started feeling weak and wanted norcos. I am determined to quit so I bought an 8mg suboxone from a friend. I had already taken 3 of the Valium throughout the day and due to the cloudiness in my head from w/d and Valium I swallowed the first half of the suboxone instead of letting it disolve. Rookie move. I waited 45 minutes and felt absolutely no changes. I decided to take the other half under my tongue. I am feeling EXTREMELY high. Nodding off high. Slow breathing. Nauseous. Killer headache. I'm not really trying to expose all this to the ER as I'm a hypochondriac and my first re...

trying to detox from subone have been on 8mgs a day for 15 months need help please thank you. ## Hi confused, I hope I don,t confuse you more but heres what I did when I got down to 8mgs. By the way, it was my sub. drs. taper plan. For 2 weeks I alternated, day 1 8mgs. day2, 4mgs. day3, 8mgs.day4, back to 4mgs. This averages out to 6mgs. I kept this routine up for 2weeks then tapered to 4mgs. From the 4mgs I tapered 1mg. per week. After the last week on 1mg. I stopped completely. I was taking the strips and when I got down to 4mgs. sub dr. prescribed the 2mg strips just because it was easier to cut. Tapering this way was a walk in the park. No wds. bettween tapers. Last week on 1mg I woke up couple times thruout night but went right back to sleep. No problems after that. Been off subs s...

I was wondering if anyone could give me the pricing on the new generic suboxone. I have blue cross blue shield and i take the 8mg tablets. I get a script of 30 a month and i pay $110 dollars for 30 of the brand name. I am getting my script filled on thursday and wnated to know if i could save any money by going with the generic. ## Unfortunately, there are no universal cost guidelines for prescription drugs, it can vary from area to area and from pharmacy to pharmacy. Thus, the best thing you can do is to contact your pharmacy and ask them. There have been a few people that said some generics ended up costing them more, while others said it was about the same price, so it's very hard to say. Learn more Suboxone details here. I went to pick up my suboxone strips and was given the little white pill instead which I have read is the generic form. I normally take 1/2 strip twice daily and took the entire 8mg. tablet and did not have any of my normal effects from the strips. I then took another tablet a few hours later and still nothing. I read that this form of suboxone does not work and can cause you to go into withdrawal. Is this true? Why isn't it working? What can I do. The pharmacy told me that my insurance only covers the generic form, and not the orange ones or the strips. I'm obviously concerned about this and not sure what I can do. Any feedback would be appreciated. ## What are the markings on the tablet in question? Can you please post back and clarify? What effects are you expecting it to cau...
