Identify a round white pill with imprint 832 8020 ## small white pill with # 832 over a slit over # 8020 ## After some searching around I think that you may have accidentally misread the imprint. There is a round white pill which matches your description except for a couple of letters. It has 832 with a score line over BC20, so I am thinking that the BC part of the print was mixed up for 80. On a white pill such as this it can easily happen. Anyways, what I am describing is Baclofen 20 mg (a muscle relaxer) manufactured by Upsher-smith Labs. The NDC code is 0832-1025 and you can verify with a picture. If so, then this tablet contain 20mgs of Baclofen, a generic for Lioresal, mainly used for its muscle relaxant properties, to prevent spasms. Is megestrol used to control hot flashes in men who have had prostate cancer radiation and harmone therapy? ## I did come across a study done on "Megestrol acetate for the prevention of hot flashes"; which you can view by following the link below: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8028614 It seems as though it would be pretty effective, as the study mentioned that hot flashes were reduced by 85% after four weeks on megestrol. The degree of efficacy was also noted to be similar in men and women. On a side note: Megestrol is a man-made version of the human hormone progesterone, and is commonly used by cancer patients, so I do believe that it is an option for those who have had prostate cancer radiation and hormone therapy.
