i take a combination of 80 mg oxycodone daily broken down to (2) 20 mg oxycontin and (4) 10 mg oxycodone Because oxycodone is covered by my insurance and oxycontin is not entirely, I want to medicate with all oxycodone. I can only get oxycodone in 10 mg. What is the best way to take this medication. So a friend of mine was trying to tell me that they make a 60,80 and 100mg IR oxycodone. Not ER oxycontin but IR, I told him he was crazy the highest mg they make for IR is the 30mg Roxicodone. He said they do make them in pill form but choose not to tell us about them because of the already crack down on opioids. I was just wondering if anyone out there has either seen heard of or ever had one of these pills.My guess is they dont make them. ## You are correct, the immediate release formulation of Oxycodone is only available in dosages up to 30mgs. is the oxycodone 20mg time released i beleave the 15mg/imprinted with the 15 on it is not thanks for the help/bob ## Hi Bob, Oxycodone HCl Controlled-Release Tablets are supplied in 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, and 80 mg tablet strengths for oral administration. The 20 mg tablets also contain polysorbate 80 and red iron oxide. But I don't think that has any impact on the absorption rate. I hope this info helps! I know someone who took two Oxycodone and had a drink. They didn't mean any harm by it, but they failed to know how many mg it was. It was 80 mg. ## If they just had a small sip of alcohol and were not heavily drinking then there should not be any long-term harmful effects. They may have felt a little sick, dizzy, or tired, but that's about the worst of it. If you were to take large doses of Oxy and then indulge in a lot of alcohol it could be seriously dangerous. ## What is the difference between Oxycodone ASA & Oxycodone APAP 5-325? Found a pill that is round, white, and has AZ286 imprinted on it. Have had two people say its a generic percocet or oxycodone. ANyone know? ## Is it possible that the imprint is SZ 286? is there a less expensive medicine than oxycontin 80 Mg TID ## There is no generic for Oxycontin, which is the time released formulation of Oxycodone from Purdue. However, there are generics available of the regular release formulation, the name brand for this is Roxicodone, but it will not last as long as the time released formulation. A time released medication that you may want to discuss with your doctor as an alternative, which is also available as a generic, is MS Contin, which contains the active ingredient Morphine. Oxycodone, however, is stronger than Morphine, so you would require a higher dosage of the MS Contin. Are there any other questions?

Is there anyone who can tell me if there is oxycodone 80 mg marked with just E on them? They came in a blister back. ## There is no legally approved U.S. one that just has an E on it. Consider this! With the change related to Oxycontin my problem is the OP type of Medication just doesn't work! So... My doctor has added additonal 30mg Oxycodone's to my monthly medication list. The problem we are having is coming up with a near equal dosage. Depending upon which phamacist you talk to we are getting differnet answers.
