Lt side is a dark red with imprint 7y Center is gray with a white half moon on top, 6 white dots and another white half moon on bottom imprinted on it, The right side is a light blue with 500 imprinted on it. Feels lightly coated and is about 1.8cm in length. Caplet style. ## It is actually a Ty that you are seeing on the imprint. Due to the risk of liver damage or failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts, as well as the risk of overdose, the FDA requested that all combination prescription products that contain Acetaminophen be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs per dose. Some companies have already begun to make the change and remove products from the market that contain the higher amounts of Acetaminophen and the rest will have it completed in a just a few weeks, by the start of 2014. Can a 7 year old take Flupen for an upper respiratory infection, ## Hi Juliette, Yes, a 7yr old can take this medication for an upper respiratory infection. Posted below are the correct dosing protocols for children and adults: Children 2-10 years: 250 mg initially, then 125 mg 8-hourly. Children under 2 years: Half the recommended dose for children 2-10 years Adults (including elderly patients): 500 mg initially and then either 500 mg or 250 mg 8-hourly depending on severity of infection. what is this?? ## That is actually a TY 500, the marking that MacNeil uses on their over the counter, extra strength Tylenol tablets, which are Acetaminophen 500mgs.
