I have been detected hypertensive seven years ago. Initially I took telmakind and later repace h 50 Mg with Amlokind. But after two three years when i went to see a Doc, he did ECG and suggested that I should continue to take Repace H and Ecospirin AV. I have been taking it since. And remarkably both keep my bp exactly at 120-25/80-85. But I want to know if I can continue like this. I havent experienced any side effects. So should i continue the same medicines or go for change

I have been on Levothyroxine (100mcg) for over a year and half. Recently my doctor had me tested to see where my thyriod level was. Aparently I tested a little hyperthyroid (although I didn't notice any symptoms) so she reduced the dosage to 75mcg. That was about 5 weeks ago. Since then I have been gaining weight and struggling to have energy to workout, although I'm forcing myself to keep my same workout routine. I didn't have to force myself before. Has anyone experienced this? I'm supposed to get tested again after being on the 75mcg for 8 weeks. Is the 25mcg difference that big a difference? I ## Yes, it can make a big difference. Your body was used to the prior dosage and you suddenly switched to a lower one, so basically your are experiencing some mild withdrawal s...

Which is better for the pain, methocarbam 750 mg, or cyclobenzapram 10 mg?. ## Hello, Robin! How are you? Neither of these medications are analgesics to relieve pain. These are both classified by the FDA as muscle relaxants, so they only help with pain that is caused by muscle spasming, such as that caused by sprains and strains. Their typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. And they are both effective medications, so it really comes down to which one works better for you. Which one has your doctor prescribed?

I am taking losartan 100 mg tablet every morning before breakfast. I also take Plavix 75 mg and Levothyroxine 100 mcg in a.m. By lunch time I feel very tired and don't have much energy the rest of the day. After dinner I take Narvasc 5 mg, Zetia 10 mg, aspirin 325 mg, and cephalexine 250 mg. My doctor doesn't seem to be very concerned about the fatigue but I feel it is interfering with my life. Such as gardening, exercising, shopping, etc. Any suggestions? ## How long have you been taking these medications? Fatigue, drowsiness, headache, increased urination, and joint pain can be side effects of these medications. How long will you be taking the antibiotic? Has there been any change?

My wife is taking Thyroxin Sodium 100 mg for thyroid manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline India. Now I am in Canada and was taking the same with the consultation of the Doctor. Now the test is done and the thyroid is low. Now the doctor recommended Synthroid 75 mcg. My question is that whether I can take Throxin sodium instead of synthroid. ## Hi Subhash, Based on my research, Synthroid contains Levothyroxine; which is a synthetic version of the thyroid hormone thyroxine. Thyroxine is the natural hormone that is secreted by the thyroid gland. I can understand why you prefer the Thyroxine since it's not synthetic, but if your doctor suggested that you take the Synthroid (75 mcg) I'm sure he/she's just trying to do what's in your best interest. Nonetheless, if you like how the ...

There is a yellow capsule of vicodin, and I saw no mg on it. All other Vicodin I have seen are white. Any answers? ## First off, I would like to let you know that there is no 1000mgs of Vicodin on the market. Vicodin is available in a maximum dosage of 10mgs of the Hydrocodone and 750mgs of the Acetaminophen. Second, the color means nothing, that is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. Third, they do not have to have the dosage on the tablet, just a unique imprint to enable its identification, in case of emergency. Thus, it is the imprint that tells us what it is. Are there any markings, at all, on the medication you are asking about? Is it a capsule or a tablet that is capsule shaped? Some of the markings for yellow Vicodin tablets include: Watson 853, 10mgs/325mgs V 3...

Can Sertraline 100 mg tablets be cut in to four pieces and still be effective? My doctor has given me the okay to try different dosages. 50 mg is not enough and I would like to try 75 mg but Sertraline does not come in that dosage. I have 100 mg tablets and want to break them in half and then cut some of the havles in half to get 75 mg. Will doing this cause a problem with how effective the medication is? ## No, it isn't time released, so cutting them won't have an effect on the efficacy and make them more or less effective. However, there are 25mg tablets, so it may be easier to see if your doctor can prescribe a weeks worth of them to take with half of one of the others. That way your dosing can be more precise, but you aren't paying for a full months worth that you may no...

What's Nucynta ER comparable to as far as a pain reliever goes? ## According to the study linked below from NIH.gov, "Tapentadol IR (the active ingredient in Nucynta) has comparable analgesic efficacy and overall safety to that of Oxycodone IR for the relief of moderate to severe, acute lower back pain as well as leg pain" Ref: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23703422 Another clinical study also compared 50mg and 75 mg dosages of Tapentadol IR to Oxycodone HCl IR 10 mg and reported similar efficacy, at: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19302899 I understand that this is referring to immediate release and not extended release, but perhaps this information will at least give you an idea of its potency/capabilities and what level of relief you might come to expect.
