I'm looking to stop using Methadone. I currently use 60mg methadone and was wondering how many mg of MSIR i would need to take a day so that I do not get uncomfortable. I need to stay on the MSIR for 12 days before I can start Ibogaine therapy. how many mg of MSIR is Equal to 60mg of Methadone..does anyone know the facts? ## Not being a patient I can't pretend that I know all the facts, but to be honest it sounds like you should probably consult with your doctor first about achieving proper conversion rates between methadone and MSIR (morphine) before attempting to take an "equal" dose based on these comments alone. My morphine sulfate 60mg were stolen, and I hve some methadone 10mg. I was supposed to take the Morphine sulfate 60mg X3 a day. How should I take these methadone 10mg to help me get through until I see My Dr. next week? ## I'd suggest actually calling your doctor to see what you should do. If you're under a treatment contract, taking something else, regardless of the circumstances, without doctor's permission could violate it and result in your getting dismissed as a patient. On 60mg. of methadone. Want to due a taper of 5mg. per day til at 30mg. Stop for two days, Then start Suboxone 8mg per day for two weeks then discontinue. That could be too rapid of a taper for the Methadone, according to the FDA, it is highly addictive and tends to cause severe cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Additionally, waiting 2 days to take the Suboxone could be too long or too short of a time period to start it. You need to be in full withdrawal, which for some people could be 12 hours, or it may take several days. Taking it too soon could cause you to go into precipitated withdrawals, which can be very dangerous and, if you go into severe withdrawals sooner, there'd be no point in waiting longer to take it. 2 weeks...

I've been going to the methadone clinic for 3 months. My dosage is 60mg daily. I'm working part-time and can't afford it anymore. I've read online about Kratom supplements. Is there a way to stop methadone and combat the withdrawals using Kratom? How would the process work? I'd like to stop methadone cold turkey as well as ensure I'm using the Kratom properly for best results.

I am having trouble with the switch,not sleeping,eating,feel anxious,like I have taken 8000mg caffeine. It does help the pain but the side effects are so unpleasant. Been on Methadone for many years via a pain clinic. I am 66. I take 50 mg. daily. and was stable and reasonably pain free until this year. I fell and broke 5 ribs on two different occasions and a slight fractured hip and torn muscles on a third fall. These falls happened while training protection dogs.For about 8-9 months I was taking about 60 mgs. of oxycodone on top of the methadone with no effect on pain - ouch!. i wanted to know if iam already methadone is it safe to take celexa? ## It is actually recommended that combining the two be avoided and an alternative medication be used in replace of the Celexa, if someone is already on Methadone. I am taking 60mg of methadone a day for pain management, given to me by a rheumatologist in Pa. We are moving to NJ. Will it be hard to find a doctor in NJ that will prescribe it for me there? I have been on it for about 6 years. I also take Percocet 10/325 for breakthrough pain. ## I am not sure how hard or easy it will be to find someone, some doctors are more understanding and liberal than others. Hi. I have been on the Methadone Clinic for about 3 years and have been slowly decreasing my dose and doing very well. I am down to 60mgs daily and had 6 take home doses. I started having really bad pain in my neck and shoulders so stopped going down, and after literally harrassing my doctor for 2 months and becoming very swollen in my whole chest, face and neck I have been diagnosed with lung cancer which is causing SVC Syndrome. I am in constant pain, rarely sleep and only sitting up. Methadone is not helping the pain at all. My doctor gave me 5 mg valiums. Which now takes away one of my take home doses so I now have to go 2x per week to the clinic. I am mostly bedridden atm. Has anyone had any experience with this? This is BRAND new. Had a car crash two weeks ago. I broke my neck,shattered my left foot and had knee surgery three weeks ago. I have been on 60mg. Of methadone fora year now. Big issue finding a pain killer to help with acute pain. Doctor gave me fives, have to take 10 at a time. I need help here. ## What type of doctor are you seeing? I have been on many different opioids for over five years after a very bad car accident. I have finally been on 60mg of methadone and was getting the mallinkrodt generic or westward pharmaceuticals but the accend generic puts me into withdrawal or I may be allergic to some filler they use but I am in tucson, az and need to find out what pharmacies to avoid or which stock anything but accend 10mg tabs now, but as the war on opioids have made for much tighter regulations I cant call and ask. They won’t say whether they do or not over the phone. Been on 60mg of methadone for the past 12 years, been seeing alta pain clinic in Sandy, Utah. I provided them with a copy of the EKG that I have an upper gi burning that they wanted to run few tests and one of them was EKG last August one of the urgent care after hours because it was on the weekend, alta pain been asking me to get an EKG for the past few months and i gave them the one I had by urgent care, when they looked at EKG they said oh you're fine you're very lucky because your heart is fine and it's okay, all the sudden as of January 1st visit He tells me that oh you have a QT prolongation your hearts we want to switch your med's, anyway they put me on Opana er 30 mg twice a day with a cocktail of oxycodone Ir 10mg 4 times a day and 10 mg Valium three times a day...

I really need some advice here. I am a cancer patient with a rare tumor. I have taken OxyContin 60MG and OxyCodone 5MG for breakthrough for over 10 years. My DR and I agree it is time to try other medications as I need more pain relief. I do not yet know how many MG he will prescribe for any of these medications. I go to a methadone program and have for about 4 years. I've recently had the flu which caused me to vomit up my methadone (I get 5 take home bottles per week). Tried taking another bottle and threw up again. I'm feeling sick from not taking it so I took a 60 mg morphine sulfate pill. Will this help at all? ## It may help stave off the worst of the withdrawals you could experience, since it is also a narcotic. However, before doing so in the future, you really should call the doctor or clinic you are working with and get their advice, first. I took 60 mgs of methadone sat morning at 8 am... today is monday 4 pm. Am I ok to take 4 mgs of suboxone today? ## It really depends on how long you have been on the methadone and the dose you are at. If your only dose was 60mgs of done sat morning and you haven't take any done before or after that I say your good. Hi all. I am overcoming an H addiction and have been taking MMT for just over a week. The first week went great. Now, I cannot stop throwing up. Here is what I have taken, I am administered the red/pink liquid: - Last Monday (3/9) and Tuesday I was on 30mg (taken at 5:15 AM) - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday I was on 40mg (taken at 5:15 AM) - Saturday, Sunday, and Monday I was on 50mg (taken at 7 AM) - and today (3/17) I was on 60mg (taken at 5:15 AM) Yesterday I threw up about 6 times from 7:30 AM until noon.
