Is there a difference between the ingredients in oxycodone and oxycontin. I have been taking oxycodone30mg. for several years and my doctor changed my meds to oxycontin 60mg and the oxycontin broke me out in hives and made me feel like I couldn't breath. I had to go to emergency room to get help and even after this the doctor said I will get used to it if I continue with it. I'm really scared to take anymore. Please respond. Thank You. Lila. PS. I don't have email, can I use someone elses to get a response from you? ## Hello, Lila! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem you had. I was prescribed 120 pills on April 17th. The dosing guidelines say to take 1 pill every 6 hours. When should I run out of medicine? ## Generally when you get pain meds from Pain Management or any other doc really and it will be taken on a regular basis, they give you what they expect to last 30 days and if you take 1 pill every six hours that should last 30 days. Patients get confused when they receive pain meds that state take one or two every 4-6 hours as needed for pain and say get 60. The Doctor generally still expects that bottle to last 30 days no matter what the instructions say. The Doctor or nurse really should make that clear. Anyway, you should have enough for a month. ## I am prescribed 30 5mg immediate release Oxycodone to take every 6hrs. How long will that prescription l...

Can lisinopril and propranolol er 60 mg be prescribe for blood pressure at the same time with no problems. ## Hi, Marylou! Yes, they sure can and it is often done when someone's blood pressure is found to be extremely high, or if they've proved to have resistant hypertension. Many times, combining such medications causes them to act synergistically, which improves how well they lower blood pressure levels. Learn more Propranolol details here. Learn more Lisinopril details here. But the patient should know to watch for the signs of hypotension, which may include headache, dizziness, high heart rate and shallow breathing. And some side effects which may occur from these medications can include nausea, drowsiness and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have tried every where to find out how many milligrams are released and how often in a controlled release 60 mg MS Contin pill... If I take a 60 mg controlled release MS Contin, is 5mg released every hour or is 15mg released every 2 hours? That was just an example so I am understood. Thank you. ## Are you taking the name brand, or a generic? The answer can vary depending on who has manufactured the tablets in question. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Generally, there is a steady release rate, but it can also depend on how much fluids you are taking in, your stomach acid, and etc.

planax pro or confor back pain ## Hello, I can't find any information about the drugs you mentioned- I did however find some information on a drug named Flanax (maybe that's what you meant?) If you respond with some more detail about the "confor" medication I'll be glad to assist you! In regards to Flanax- They are pain relief tablets that contain naproxen sodium. Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat minor aches and pains such as headache, backache or toothache. It can also be used to treat pain associated with a common cold, certain symptoms of arthritis and menstrual cramps. You should not take Flanax Pain Reliever Tablets if you: -Are age 60 or older -Take a blood thinning (anticoagulant) or steroid drug -Have had stomach ulcers ...

Yesterday I picked up a 20 day supply of oxycontin 30 mg. It was a 20 day script. At 2 a day my px was for 60. I was HORRIFIED when the pharmacist billed me for 325.00, including my insurance discount. They claimed there is not a generic oxycontin. Oxycodone 30 mg was $15 for 60...so needless to say I was shocked!!! Is there an equivalent slow release to replace 30 mg of oxycontin? There has got to be something. I got into a bit of a habit with taking too many 30 oxycodone, which is why I was put on a slow release. Any advice out there? The pharmaceutical companies are gouging us beyond belief, and I've got a medical condition due to an accident where I need these pills, at least for another 2 months or so. The $325.00 price has me in a state of high anxiety however. Is hydromorphin...

I started Nifedipine XR 30 mg last Friday, June 10,2016. I realize the tablet shells do not dissolve but I think the entire pill with the undissolved and unabsorbed medication is passing through my system. My blood pressure has not gone down since I started it 6 days ago. I happened to swallow a dental crown the same day I started the medication and have, unfortunately, been trying to retrieve my $900 crown so that I will not have to buy another. In this effort I have found 4 pills, each time thinking it was my crown, and upon inspection found the yellow medicine still inside each pill. My doc says I have absorbed the medicine but told me to double the dosage to 60 mg/day and was insulted when I mentioned the pharmacist told me to ask for a different medication.
