It is most commonly used to treat addiction to opioids, and to reduce risk of fatal overdose from illicit drugs. is there any difference; longer lasting, stronger, etc. in the 54 142 and the 57 71 10mg methadone ## Both of these pills appear to be exactly the same aside from having different manufacturers. Both pills contain 10 mg of Methadone hydrochloride. Neither of these are extended release or stronger than the other. M 57 71 is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. 54 142 is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories, Inc. Do you have any other questions or comments to add? They are manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 10mgs of Methadone, which is most commonly used treat drug addiction, and chronic pain. My husband was addicted to zanax, that problem behind us I recently found a few pills with marking 57 71 m on it ,well looked it up I see what it is, but can this make a person teeth start to decay?
