54252 ## In one place you have the number as 54262, and in another it says 54252. If your pill is a pale yellow, round pill about the size of an aspirint, (maybe a little bigger) and the number is 54262 then yes, you do have 30mg morphine sulfate. It is used for moderate to severe pain. It is a schedule 2, controlled substance, that can be very addictive. Side effects include marked drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, euphoria,headache, among other side effects. I could not find a pill labeled 54252 so I am hoping the real number is 54262.

why cant i find this medication ## The pill with the 54 262 marking isn't a 40mg Morphine tablet, it is a 30mg tablet and how are you going about trying to find it? If you are just calling around to the various pharmacies and asking if they have it in stock, then you have to understand that since Morphine is a narcotic/controlled substance, you are likely not getting an honest answer. Due to the very high risk of theft, most pharmacies will simply tell anyone that just calls that they do not stock these types of prescriptions. If you are just a voice on the phone, they have no way of knowing if you a legitimate customer or a potential thief. The only way to really find out if they have it in stock is to actually go into the pharmacy, in person, with your prescription in hand.

I ran out of my pain meds which are Oxycodone 10/325 and found some 30mg Morphine IR. I have been taking the Morpine every 3-4 hours but have taken 6 since 5 this morning. EST. It is now 12:30 I haven't taken one since 8 and am hurting. Is it reasonable to take one now? I know I wont sleep with this pain. ## Yes, for the immediate release Morphine you should be okay to take it (4 1/2 hours after your last dose) - unless the dosage instructions specifically state "do not take more than xxx per 24 hours". I found information online last night that the Roxane Labs 30 mg, morphine sulfate, imprint 54 262, with scored line on other side is a time released medication, with common usage of every 12 hours. A friend of mine got a prescription of this exact med and the directions are to take 1/2 to 1 pill every 4 hours. Also, there were no warning labels on the bottle regarding not breaking or chewing this med. If this med is time released is he not in danger by breaking the pill in order to only take half? ## Any time one breaks or crushes a time release medication they are altering the way the dosage is delivered.
