I have quite a few medical problems. Along with this over the last 7 yrs I've seen QUITE a few different drs. I have a bad habit of putting a couple of each med I take into one bottle to carry with me so as not to have to carry 13 different bottles if I need them. My meds have been changed quite a bit to find the right combo that works. I need help figuring out a few of them that I'm not sure if I'm still supposed to be taking. No I'm not an ignorant person, but i get the same drug by different mfg. so they don't look the same. If you can help that would be great. IF YOU HAVE AN 80MG DILAUDID SCORED ROUND TABLET, HOW WOULD U KNOW IF IT CAN BE TAKEN INTRAVENOUSLY ? ## Well first, the tablet with the marking 54 425 contains only 8mgs of Hydromorphone, that active ingredient in Dilaudid, which is the maximum dosage available for the regular release tablets, the extended release goes up to 12mgs. And second, trying to break down any tablet and inject it isn't safe. This should only be done with medications that have been specially formulated as injectable liquids.
