What effects occur when combined with alcohol ## This medication combines Acetaminophen with Oxycodone, it is a narcotic pain reliever. Combining it with alcohol can be dangerous, because it can aggravate the side effects and make them much worse. This can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and central nervous system depression. It is the CNS depression that can be dangerous, the person could stop breathing or their heart rate could severely slow. Is there anything else I can help you with?

What is the limit for a single dose for a 170 lb person? I hear this drug can be dangerous and I want to make sure my son is taking it correctly for his surgery recovery. ## The hydrocodone will not harm him even if he took 8 per day but the acetaminophen cannot be more than 4000 mg a day. And as you can see 325times 8 is not even close .so I hope he does well in his recovery.God bless Rocket666. ## However, regardless of safe limits overall, they should only be taken according to his doctor's prescribing instructions. This medication does carry the risk of being habit forming and addictive. It may also cause side effects likes nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness. use before 11/o8/15. is it still ok to use the pill now that it expired? ## Hello, Capo! How are you? This medication does not become dangerous, once expired, but it does begin to lose efficacy, so it may not work as well as it did, when new. Thus, it would be best to dispose of it and see your doctor for a new prescription, if one is needed. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## thank you. going in the garbage.

they expired 2 years ago, can they still be taken? ## Hi Christeen, There's actually a lot of conflicting information around the topic of expired medication, but according to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. This conclusion was based upon a study conducted at the request of the US military due to stockpiles of expensive drugs they could otherwise need to replace every few years. The conclusion was that 90% of those drugs remained effective 10 - 15 years after the expiration date. But the question is whether or not the drug you have happens to be one of these drugs from the study... (I have not seen the list of drugs use...

I'm on warfarin, so I can't take ibuprofen. My gout is extremely painful, is hydrocodone-acetaminophen good for gout? ## Hello, Chayong! How are you? You should take it, unless your doctor has specifically told you to do so, because Acetaminophen can increased the effect of the Warfarin, which could increase your risk of dangerous bleeding. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I am having an epidural tomorrow at 1:45 pm. Is it okay to take IC Hydrocondon 5- 525 and Extra Strength Tylenol 12 hours before the injection? ## Hello, Samantha! How are you? You shouldn't take anything, without your doctor's approval. Some medications can interfere with the procedure, or with anesthetic that may be used for the procedure. And you shouldn't ever combine Tylenol with the Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen since they both contain Acetaminophen and an overdose of it can be very dangerous. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have been taking 5-500 acetaminophen for my rheumatoid for a few years now with no issues and good blood test results every 3 to 5 months. My new insurance company just changed it to 3-325. I've taken about 80 over the past few weeks and have developed thick red painful rashes on my thighs and waist at belt line. They are made by a different company as well. I made doctor appointmntment but its 4.5 weeks away. Any advice or thoughts. this is the only change in my diet or medicine I can think of. ## Hello, Danny! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. Actually, your insurance company cannot change your medication and/or dosage. That can only be approved by your doctor, even if there is something that they don't cover, or something is unavailable, any chang...

If not how many 5 325 equal 15mg percocet?? Curious as dr said I could take that much but didn't specify. ## Hello, Linda! How are you? First, there is no 15mg Percocet, so I'm assuming your mean a 15mg Oxycodone tablet. The 5/325 stands for 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Thus, it would take 3 of them to reach 15mgs of the Oxycodone, but factoring in the Acetaminophen, you may do well with just one or two. It's also very important not to take more than your doctor has prescribed, because it is very dangerous to exceed 3,000mgs of Acetaminophen in a day. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there a...

I Am Miscarring And Was Proscribed Hydrocodone Apap 5 325 If Take Two Will It Be Okay cause one is not working and i cant take the pain i dont have insurance so they left the baby in me instead of giving me a dnc and no doctor will see me ## That is very unusual. Where are you located? Did you go to a regular doctor or an emergency services facility? I know in the U.S. that if you require a D&C, or some other procedure and you go to an ER, they would have to do it, whether or not you have insurance, due to the possible life threatening risks to the mother. The only time they may not do so, was if you weren't in severe pain, or any danger and things were completely progressing naturally. If you are in severe pain, then I'd suggest going to some type of emergency services faci...

I just returned from the emergency room for a fall i took through the ceiling, and landed on a staircase about 12 foot fall. Anyway they gave me a shot of dilada 2 mg and another several hrs 1 mg the 1 mg had no effect so they gave me 1 more mg. I just returned home with my prescription for oxycocone 5 325. will 1 pill be equilavent to the shot? i dont want to take too much but without the pain relief my stomach and back muscles constrict so bad i cant get a good breath and I dont want to go thru that again while I wait for the pill to take effect. ## The 5mgs in the tablet stands for the amount of Oxycodone and the 325mgs is the amount of Acetaminophen. Oxycodone is a very strong narcotic pain reliever, so taking more than recommended could be very dangerous.
