If so, then the generic you have is the same except for the fact that it might not be as strong as the brand name variety. The reason being, if a medication is in generic form, it is permitted by the FDA to be allowed to contain as much as 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient. Also, depending on the manufacturer- the binders and fillers (inactive ingredients) used could be different. Unless you have a life threatening illness that requires their use, it will inevitably ruin the rest of your life if you take them for a short period of time and then stop (once you start, you have to rely on them to support the off balance of hormones, etc).
