What is the difference between rx Q-PAP 500 mg & OTC acetaminophen 500 mg? ## There is no difference, they are both just 500mgs of Acetaminophen. a bottle tape up and marking of GPI A5 info what is it ## This is Acetaminophen, it is hard to saw which dosage, as the company that manufactures them, Gemini, uses the same logo on all of their Acetaminophen tablets, and they make several dosages, including a Childrens 80mg, a regular strength 325mg and an extra strength 500mg, but either way, it is Acetaminophen in an over the counter dosage, not a prescription nor anything dangerous. You do run into this some times, since OTC items are not regulated and required to have unique markings on each pill and dosage like prescription meds are required to have. ## what is this pill GPI A5 ? what it for pain?

Is Acetaminophen like a Percocet? I'm not too fond of Percocets, as I was given them after I had my baby. ## Hi Nicki, Acetaminophen is NOT the same thing as Percocet. It can sometimes be confusing because Acetaminophen is one of the active ingredients in Percocet (the other being Oxycodone which is a strong narcotic drug in the opioid class). However, on its own, Acetaminophen is a readily available over the counter pain reliever (it is not a narcotic like Oxycodone in Percocet), so you should not expect to have any of the unpleasant side effects associated with a drug like Percocet. HAS NUPRIN RED 500 MGM ACETAMINOPHEN CHANGED COLOUR TO WHITE? I HAVE BOTH.. SAME LABEL. ## Nuprin actually makes several over the counter products. The red tablet is listed as containing 200mgs of Ibuprofen and the white is listed as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen. I wonder if there was possibly a mix-up in labeling? Since these are over the counter products and are not as strictly controlled as prescription medications. The labels on the bottles, however, are very similar, but do list the relevant ingredient. I am taking the above medication and am having a severe pain in the back of my head. Like a shock. Any ideas if this is something serious? Im also taking amoxicillian with it. I have taken aspirin free excedrin for headaches for years,. Now that is off the market I have tried similar generic brands that do not work. I now have to take my prescription meds all the time. What can I do to help this situation????? ## Have you discussed the problem with your doctor? What prescription medications do you take? In reality, it is no better to have to take an over the counter medication, any more often than it is to take prescription medications. They all carry risks and can cause complications.

My wife will be taking hydrocodone acetaminophen 5 500 tb for the first time to help her get through her physical therapy. How long before the therapy starts should she take the pill to get maximum relief during the session. ## It's really difficult to say, because it takes 15 to 20 minutes for the regular release tablets like this to start being digested and enter someone's blood stream and then, of course, you want it to be working, before she goes in for the session to minimize the pain.
