will it be ok for me to stop taking 50ml zoloft.i have only taken it for 3 days and cant stand the sweats. ## There shouldn't be a problem if you have only been taking it for 3 days. In order for it to cause issues when you stop taking it abruptly, you usually have to have been taking it for a long period of time. Learn more Zoloft details here. You may, however, still experience some mild withdrawal symptoms. Have you talked to your doctor about the sweating? ## I was perscribed zoloft a week ago.100 mg for 3 days then 100mg twice a day. This seems high. I dontlike side effects. Can I stop cold turkey

After 6 yrs on zoloft it no longer helps much. I felt great for 2-3 years but know it time for a change. I had a genetic test done and my doctor decided to try me on pristiq. Reduced zoloft to 50 mg and started 50mg prestiq today. Then keep reducing zoloft. Anyways I'm freaking out about being on 2 antidepressant at the same time (serotonin syndrome) and am also scared of withdrawal symptoms from the zoloft. Is there anybody who's had a positive experience switching from ssri to snri?? ## Doing a gradual change by tapering up and down is normal, as long as your doctor is monitoring you to keep an eye out for any possible problems. It should also eliminate the worst of any withdrawal symptoms, though you may still experience some nausea, diarrhea, and anxiety, according to the NI...

I have an oval shaped pill lime green in color with 212 on one side and a split on the other side with 1/6. It's an Sertraline (Zoloft) pill but I don't know the MG. I's either 50 or 25. ## Hello, Anna! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by InvaGen Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 25mgs of Sertraline. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have fibromyalgia. Has anyone ever taken tramadol when they were on gabapentin, zoloft, and lorazepam? ## Hi, Yellowrose. The only thing with the meds you listed is taking the tramadol with Zoloft as they both work on the serotonin receptors and they may cause a serotonin reaction....or toxicity. I can't remember the exact name for it.....my brain froze on that one.....look it up though. The side effects of this include confusion, anxiety and some other aspects of this combo in which you should visit your ER if any of the side effects appear....especially the confusion. They will need to stop your medications and give you other meds to combat the reaction. You would probably need to spend the night in the hospital for them to do this so you are safe. I took tramadol 50mg, 6/day an...

Hi Everyone, Recently had a crisis situation where I had been tried on numerous sleeping pills unsuccessfully and with terrible anxiety and depression. Now on 50 mg of zoloft and 100 mg of seroquel together for 3 days. I seem to be able to feel when the depression begins to ease up already but I am experiencing terrible panic and heightened anxiety in its place. My anxiety focuses a lot on death and age as triggers but just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience of increased anxiety? Will it eventually go away? Also not sure if zoloft will help with my specific fear and anxiety so has anyone else used it successfully for a similar purpose? ## It takes time, but you should be able to call your Dr. hotline and they will help you. Probably give you something like Clonzepam, ...

Started me at 50 mg for 4 weeks, slept very little. I was prescribed Ativan 1 mg helped me sleep about 6 to 7 hours. My Doc took me off after prescribing me 5 pills 3 times, total of 15. My Zoloft was raised from 50 mg to 100mg, now I'm having more trouble than ever sleeping. I went to my pcp and was prescribed zolpidem tartrate 5 mg, tablets. I took a 5 mg tablet once a night for 2 nights and couldn't sleep. I called pharmacist and was told to take 2 5 mg tablets, total of 10 mg per night. It worked for awhile but it made me feel worse, more depression, shaky. I'm down to 2.5 mg of zolpidem tartrate and feeling shaky and I can not sleep. Any suggestions please! ## Hello, Samantha! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. However, once you're ...

I have been taking zoloft 50 mg for 6 years now. I felt my anxiety coming back a little stronger so my doctor up my dose 25 mg. so I have been taking a total of 75 mg for 2 months. I have been having bad problems with dizziness and lightheadness. I thought that the side affects would diminish but they are strong as ever. Is this normal to have these side after 2 months? ## No, that's not normal. Most side effects usually last about 4 to 6 weeks, then taper off in severity, once your body had gotten used to the medication or dosage increase. Are you on any other medications? Has anything else changed in your diet or daily routine recently? ## I'm on Diovan for blood pressure which I've been taking for 10 years. I have noticed that even taking Zoloft my anxiety is still always...

Today my doc told me to reduce my Zoloft from 100 MG to 50 MG for the next 6 days. On the 7th day I will begin 10 MG of Brintellix in the morning with breakfast. If I experience any sleepiness I should start taking it in the evening. My follow up visit is scheduled for June 29. I have tried many amtidepressants over the years with minimal to moderate success. I hope this is magic bullet. ## don't do it! i have been on ssri meds for over 20 yrs. dr started me on trintellix 3 wks ago. have not been out of the house since then due to nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue and more. Now trying to wean off of it but dr and pharmacist are not sure how to proceed with this. i am also imsulin dependent diabetic andy sugars are erratic. terrifying drug at least for me. ## Day 6. I stopped taking Effexor 75 mg on Tuseday and started Zoloft 100 mg on Wednesday. I felt sick all day life the flu, I then took 100 Zoloft on Thursday and still feel sick, and I did throw up earlier. I really feel like I'm going through withdrawals from something. I am also taking 50 mg of Trazodone. I started that this Wednesday. I have been on 1 mg of Klonopin for years. What is going on? ## Ideally, it would have been best to slowly taper down on the Effexor, while going up on the dose of the Zoloft. Since you didn't do that, you just stopped taking it, you are likely experiencing some withdrawal/rebound effects. Learn more Zoloft details here. Have your symptoms improved any?

Two weeks ago my doctor increased my Zoloft dosage from 25 mg to 50 mg and I've had debilitating anxiety for since day three of the increase. The anxiety has lessened a little in the last day but I'm wondering if this is a side effect that's not going to go away. I'm quite scared. ## That can be a normal side effect, as reported by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and weight changes. Side effects usually tend to be transient, as explained by the NIH, and they should go away, once your body gets used to the new dosage, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. However, if its gets severe, or doesn't go away, you should consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hello me to i know how bad it gets, the meds changed me to much and ...

I want to know everything there is to know about Zoloft good and bad. ## I've been on it, along with a number of other people I know. Hated being on it. Takes too much control of you. Have never met anyone who thought it was good for them. ## I don't have a whole lot to complain about being on it. I never really noticed a difference, but I did find out not to take it within 4 hours of Depakote. It has some very odd side effects. ## I have been taking zoloft for approx. 9 years 100mg daily and it has been very good for me. ## I have been on this for about 3-4 weeks now. I was on Prozac for 15 tears but was having problems again with depression more and he switched me to zoloft 50-75 mg. As needed he said. So far no side affects to say but doing better. What is the exchange dose of effexor xr and Zoloft?( what dose of Effexor is equal to 40 mg. of Zoloft? ## There is currently no 40mg dose of Zoloft available, the closest would be 50mgs, so the information I've found is relevant to that dosage. Generally the switch requires 75mgs of the Effexor ER to equal the 50mg dosage of Zoloft. However, your doctor may use a different dosage, depending on the severity of your condition and your response to the medications. What dosage has your doctor advised?

I started on Zoloft 3 weeks ago and I went from cutting a 50mg pill in half to increasing it 25 mg each week. I am now on 100 mg. I was prescribed Zoloft for anxiety. I usually take the pill around 7 pm. The first weeks I was absolutely fine the only thing that is persistent is that I would go to sleep and wake up few times a night. I was wondering if this is permanent ? ## No, it should not be a permanent side effect, but it may take a few weeks for it to go away, once you are on one consistent dosage, for awhile. The FDA does warn that this medication might cause REM Onset Latency as a side effect, which means that it can take longer for you to enter the REM phase of sleep and you may not be in it for as long as normal. That can cause a disrupted sleep patter, for awhile. When I'v...

why is it that when i take sertraline i can sleep and feel very scared of everything especially people ## You can or can't sleep? Sertraline, the active ingredient in Zoloft, is a SSRI antidepressant and, unfortunately, in some people its affect on this brain chemical can have the opposite effect of what is desired. This probably means that it just isn't the right medication for you. Have you contacted your doctor about trying something else?
