for most effective use do you take k 18 by swallowing or best dissolve under the tongue ## Hello, Jim! How are you? This is not a sublingual tablet, so it is intended to be swallowed with a full 8 ounce glass of water. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

5/300 is 1/3 the price of 5/325 of hydrocodone acetaminophen at the pharmacy. Does the pain relief compare and is it worth the difference in price? We are talking $13 versus $38 for 25 mg difference. ## It's possible they have already raised the price with hydrocodone combinations meds becoming a Schedule II meds Oct 6, 2014. Everything from manufacturing to dispensing had to have tighter security and the cost has to be passed on to the customer. ## Hello, Debra! How are you? It really depends on how well it works for you. If you don't take this all the time, then you'll likely get adequate relief from the 5/300, though I don't show a listing for that dosage being available, so it would be best to double check with your pharmacy. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has t...

I have had tachycardia and high bp for a week now. I went to the ER cause my resting HR got it 146. My normal values are 120/78 and HR low 70s. In the past week my hr has been between 90-100. I'll even wake up at night with HR bring 100. I can't even stand up without it spiking my HR. I had quite a few blood tests, EKG, echocardiogram and holter monitor and everything has come back fine. In 24 and healthy.... I've have never ever has and heart issues before. My GP gave me 5mg of bystolic to get my HR down til we figure it out. I've also stopped my newer BC pill that I started a little over two months ago to see if that caused the high bp? If I develop any bad side effects from this, because it's a low dose can I just stop taking it? ## BC pills can cause these types ...

I broke my ankle two weeks ago and the doctor started me on 40 - 80 mg a day then after a week I dropped down to 20-30mg a day. It has been almost a total of 2 weeks on this medication and when I wake in the morning I feel sick and sweaty until I take my meds. I'm wondering if a person can go through withdrawal on such a small dosage and if so how long will it take for this to stop ## That's not really a small dosage, even being down to 20 to 30mgs a day is still a pretty high dose and yes, one can experience withdrawal symptoms, whenever your dosage is lowered, or if you stop taking it, according to the NIH. Other withdrawal effects may include rebound pain, fever, chills, and diarrhea. You weren't taking it for too long, so they will most likely subside in a week, or so. I...

I took a 10mg Methadone at 8:00 AM and nothing since, is it safe to take a .5 mg of zanax now? ## Hello, Jinny! How are you? If they've both been prescribed for you by doctors who are aware that you're taking both medications. Otherwise, combining them isn't safe, especially if your body is not tolerant to such medications. Both of them can cause sedation and depression of the central nervous system, so you may inadvertently overdose. These effects can cause symptoms such as extreme drowsiness, dizziness and shallow breathing, which has the potential to be fatal. These medications also carry the risk of being habit forming. small round orange ## The information provided in this post is not enough to confirm the identity of the pill in question. More specifics are needed, such as any markings on the tablet, because those are what enable them to be identified. And just to clarify, the actual medication name is Oxycodone, though it is frequently misunderstood. It is a very potent narcotic that has a high potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Is there anything I can help with? ## Interesting. I know that's supposed to be true and it may very well be so for the many, but I found it no more helpful than hydrocodone and switched back immediately.

I Had Both Of These Prescribed To Me. One Is Small Round White And The Other Is Larger Round White... Are They The Same Thing? What Is The Difference? ## Hello, Melissa! How are you? The tablet with the K 18 marking is manufacture by KVK Tech and they list it as containing 5mgs of Oxycodone. However, the tablet with the A 349 on it is manufactured by Actavis Elizabeth and they list it as containing 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The Acetaminophen can augment the action of the narcotic to help it work better for some people. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Ok Awesom...

How long can my sister take this 5 mg oxycodone w/500 mg tylenol med safely? She just had surgery to re-align fractures in both her radius & Luna and replace her shattered elbow. Her pain level is extremely high (rating 1 to 10, she is a 15) ## How long she can safely take it is entirely up to her doctor. The FDA does warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. However, currently, there are no doses on the market that contain more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Are you sure of what she's taking? Did you mean her ulna? Is she on any other medications?

I have been on 5mg oxycodone for about 4 years. My doc switched me to the 10mg oxycodone tablet. I took one 10mg tab and NOTHING. It was as if I swallowed air. 4 hours later I took another one 10mg tab...Again NOTHING. I don't understand this. When I was on 5mg, I took 2 of them and it worked. I live in Indiana and the laws here are the 2nd most strict laws in the country. So he did this so he could give me the same amount. My medical history is this: I have severe fibromyalgia, RA, severe restless arm/leg syndrome, sjogrens syndrome, interstitial cystitis, sarcoidosis (it's been in remission for about 10 years but had done damage to my lungs, submandibular glands, and lymph nodes), meralgia paresthesia on my right thigh, occipitial neuralgia, hasimotto's syndrome, sciatica,...

If so, how do you know it is a 5mg tablet? If PMS is the only imprint, it could be hard to positively tell what this is, because these are tablets from Canada and there are several that are round and white, with just the PMS imprint. So, any other details you have on it would be very helpful. ## I took one and it made me really mellow it's about 2cm in circumfrence someone told me it was morphine but it doesnt look like any i could find online.

what does a 5mg. zanax look likwe ## Hi STEPHANIE, Based on my research, Xanax 5mg is a small elliptical/oval orange pill. The imprint on the front side of the pill is Xanax 0.5 and the backside is scored down the middle. I just went through surgery. Prior to surgery I was given a generic of Percocet - IP203 , after I received plain pill, no letters but 512 on one side, what is the difference, if any please as I am concerned. Thank You ## Both "IP 203" and "512" contain the same two active ingredients Acetaminophen 325mg + Oxycodone hydrochloride 5mg. The primary noticable differences between these two pills are the different manufacturers they are made by, as well as each pill containing different inactive ingredients or fillers. Inactive ingredients or fillers can effect how efficiently the drug is absorbed into your system and therefore determine how effective it might be over another similar pill with different inactive ingredients. Inactive Ingredients in IP 203: silicon dioxide cros...

I have had several pain intensive surgeries followed by Dr. prescrptions of Vicodin & Percocet on various occasions in the past. Each time I would have surplus meds (with dispose of dates listed on container) leftover after pain subsided. My question is do these meds have a shelf life where they become ineffective or worse, toxic? ## No, these types of medications do not become toxic, but they will start to lose effectiveness past the expiration date. There's no precise time frame to give, because it depends on storage conditions, but the one year date from the pharmacy is the maximum time they can be sure they'll remain fully effective. Hi there, I've been looking online for information on how to get off the butrans patch (5mg) I have been on now for about 3 years. I was placed on this due to a spinal infection and the lingering affects due to nerves thereof - a general diagnosis has been possible lyme/west nile - whatever it is/was - I am still (4 yrs. later numb from the knees down - numbness is intermittent and moves about from knees down to feet). Still on a walker as whatever this was took out my left leg in particular however my right leg is fine. It's been a trip - but I'll beat it - darn if I won't. All said, though and back to topic - has anyone any suggestions on how to "get off" this butran's patch - the lowest dose ? Can I just take the darn thing off and ride it out or is this d...
