5 Mg Oxycodone

I was prescribed 5/325mg of oxycodone for when I have headaches and for a month I have been depending on a half of one EVERYNIGHT to go to sleep or I cant sleep. How do I stop and will it affect me if I do stop?? ## Hello, Lalala! How are you? what dose it look like ## My husband has been prescribed oxycodone 5 mg. and oxycodone 15 mg. 4 times daily. When I took his prescription to be filled yesterday I was told that the government was not letting any of them go out right now (the 5 mg, that is). I got the 15 mg. What's going on? ## I know the generic manufacturer Ethex has issued a voluntary recall due to quality control concerns, however, I haven't heard of anything recalled by the government. It is possible that your pharmacy carried the ones made by Ethex and don't have any in stock right now, since they had to pull them from the shelves. My Dr. was prescribing me MS Contin 30mg. q 8hrs & Dilaudid 4mg q 4-6hrs. + Celebrex 200mg 1 daily. Now he suddenly took me off the MS Contin, I have been in extreme pain! Red/white capsule with [M] 532 ## This capsule contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Oxycodone, This is a narcotic pain reliever, a generic for Tylox, Percocet and others. I think i took a white oblong capsule i was told it was outdone instant relief 5mg. I can't remember the exact numbers on them. I know it started with a 0 and had the number 4 in it. I have taken oxycodone before but never seen it in a capsuse before can u please tell me if it was actually oxycodone ## There's definitely not a medication by the name of "outdone", at least here in the U.S. It sounds like they could've also said Oxycontin, which is an extended release version of Oxycodone. is the oxycodone 20mg time released i beleave the 15mg/imprinted with the 15 on it is not thanks for the help/bob ## Hi Bob, Oxycodone HCl Controlled-Release Tablets are supplied in 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, and 80 mg tablet strengths for oral administration. The 20 mg tablets also contain polysorbate 80 and red iron oxide. But I don't think that has any impact on the absorption rate. I hope this info helps! I was wondering how many 2.5 mg 325 oxycodone can I take at one time? I normally use 30-50mg a time each day to maintain my pain. ## Hi Connie, Based on my research, the usual adult dosage for Percocet 2.5/325 is one or two tablets every 6 hours- the maximum daily dose is 12 tablets.
