on one of my prescriptions on the bottle it says OXYCODON HCL-APAP 10/325 and the pill is oblong. I had them refilled and the bottle says OXYCODONE-APAP 10-325 and the pill is round. So what I want to know is what the HCL stands for and are these the same medications? ## Hello, Anne! How are you? Yes, they are the same. The HCL just stands for Hydrochloride and designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, they just didn't include it on the one label. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

my Pill imprint 10/325 E712 has been identified as oval Endocet 325 mg / 10 mg is white, pill identifier says it should be yellow... what does this mean? I can't find any info to support that this pill also comes in white. Thanks. ## Did you get them from a pharmacy, or elsewhere? They are supposed to be yellow, but when it comes to the pale shades, some people do perceive it as white, since colors are subjective. Learn more Endocet details here. ## Thanks for the reply... pharmacy. I took that into consideration (pale color) but they look white and less tolerant than previous scripts meaning I'm going thru more per day. ## Late update... they are a very, very light shade of yellow after all. Thanks for the feedback.

what does the t mean in hydrocodone/apap 10-325 t ## Hello, Dog! How are you? That just stands for tablet, meaning they are a solid tablet as opposed to the capsules that are available. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What is the difference in the white and yellow tablet? Submitted by Lily M Stafford ## Does it cause itching? Itching

How soon after taking hydrocodone 10/325 can I take tylenol #3. My doctor is switching me to the tylenol # 3 and I read "do not take tylenol #3 if you have 'recently" taken another narcotic medication," but it didn't state the meaning of 'recently." ## Hello, Najnaj! How are you? Unless your doctor, or pharmacist instructs otherwise, it is usually intended for you to stop the one medication and start taking the new one at the schedule dosing time. In other words, it usually not necessary to wait days, just the regular amount of time that you would take another one. The FDA classifies Tylenol 3 as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. My last 2 months of taking Alvogen 10/325 are turning faint yellow and look like they have been in water as the shape and medicine doesn't seem to be that effective. Can you tell me why the pill is changing its color and not effective as of 3 months ago? I may have been taking the Watson brand or some other brand. ## Hi Judy, Are you meaning to say that the new prescription is yellow when you get them filled or that the pills gradually turn yellow [perhaps through oxidation or other unknown causes] while you have them in your possession? If the latter, I think that is really strange and this is probably the first time I've heard of something like that happening to any pharmaceutical. If I were you I'd consider contacting the pharmacy who filled your prescription and ask them...

I take three hydrocodone 10/325 at once. Would taking one 30 oxycontin be the the same? ## Taking one 30mg Oxycontin would not be the same as taking three 10/325mg Vicodin tablets. I say this for a number of good reasons: 1. Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone are completely different drugs than Oxycontin (different chemical structures mean different effects as well as side effects) 2. Oxycontin is an extended release version of Oxycodone; meaning that it's effects will last a lot longer than Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone in and of themselves. 3. The inactive ingredients are also going to be different in each medication; which means you may have a completely different reaction to one v.s. the other. 4. There's a good reason your prescribed one and not the other. Oxycontin from what I hear...

I GOT A BUNCH OF THESE FROM A TELEPHONE SUPPLIER. I HAD EXPECTED ENDOCET 10/325 BUT THESE ARRIVE INSTEAD. SHOUD I TAKE THEM (I am a pain center patient). These folks purport to have a prescribing doctor making this all legal. AM I AT RISK IF I TAKE THIS STUFF???? ## Hi B-Bob, My guess is that the pills you have may contain oxycodone and acetaminophen, the same ingredients in Endocet; meaning that you could've been given a generic. Are there any markings on the pills at all? If there are no markings it's impossible to know for sure what they contain or their whereabouts. Never take a medication if you don't really know what it is/where it came from. Have you contacted the company your ordered the pills from? ## No markings or scoring. Orange in color. This medication is to be what is called a 325/10; that meaning 325 mg acetamenaphin and 10??oxcondone. This is to be what is commonly referred to as PERCOCET; can you assure me that this same white tab is the same doseage of "Percocet" as I have been taking for the past several years? Thank you. ## Did you possibly mean Watson 932? If so, then yes, it contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Percocet, a narcotic analgesic. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Are there any questions or comments?

what is the diffrence between BUT/ASA/CAF50-325 -40TAB WEST-WARD AND BUT/APAP/CF50-500-40TAB QUALITE I DONT UNDERSTAND THE 325 AND 500 ## That is the amount of Acetaminophen in them, one has 325mgs and the other has 500mgs. The amount of it is sometimes different in medications that use it, due to the fact that it enhances the effects of the drugs it is coupled with, so one with a higher dose of it may help more than the one with the lower. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi monica, The meaning of ASA abbreviation is "Aspirin", and the meaning of APAP abbreviation is "Acetaminophen". That said, the primary difference between these two medications is that the 325mg is Aspirin, while the 500mg is Acetaminophen. From what I could gather, there aren't many dif...

Next to my fill date of generic Percocet I usually have a MCRK code but this new supplier has MADV. Is there a meaning for this? I just feel it's not as strong as what I've been getting ## This new medication 5/325 Oxycodone / APAP has RP stamped on one side of medication ## Hello, Tom! How are you? The MCRK and MADV are abbreviations for the generic manufacturers. For instance, MCRK stands for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. In case of emergency, the pharmacies do this to keep track of the manufacturer and/or distributor and the RP is a manufacturers logo. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have a tropical flavored hydrocodone-apap liquid but it doesn't say the strength?!! How much wud I need to take to equal 1 yellow 10/325 norco? It says take 1 teaspoon every 4-6 hrs for cough. Or am I way off and the whole bottle won't equal 1? Lol ## The bottle should have the amount of medication in 5 cc's on the bottle. Are there any numbers on the bottle after the name of the medication ? ## If it's hydrocodone/acetaminophen sol, it's 7.5/325 per 15 ml meaning 7.5 mgs hydrocodone, 325 Tylenol if it's the new sol, older formula has 500mg acetaminophen(Tylenol) so you would need 20ml to get 10mg. Be careful of Tylenol tho. New recommended dose is 3000mg per day. Now if its cough syrup, it's tussinex , is it super thick? That's 10mg hydrocodone per 5 m...

white round pill it has watson933 on it ## Oxycodone + Acetaminophen (7.5 mg / 325 mg) is the pill in description. Oxycodone + Acetaminophen is used to treat moderately severe to severe acute (short-term) pain. To view a more detailed description of the drug, please click on the link below... If you have any more questions or comments to add, then please post back so I can further assist you. ## Which is stronger Oxycodone 15 or Watson 933's for chronic pain? ## Hi Jellybean, I am not an MD so I cannot determine if Oxycodone (15 mg) is stronger than Oxycodone (7.5 mg) + Acetaminophen (325 mg). However Oxycodone is a prescription drug while Acetaminophen is available over-the-counter; meaning that Acetaminophen isn't nearly as powerful as Oxycodone. Based on that educated guess I...

i found half of a pill and on one side it has wat and the other side only a number 9 it is white and oblong. I was thinking maybe xanax? ## Hi Lacey, Since you have only half the pill, there's only half of an imprint to search for; meaning it will be impossible to know for 100% certain what the pill actually is. The closest match I can find is Norco; which is a combination of Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone (325 mg - 5 mg). IT is a white oval pill with red specks and the imprint WATSON on one side and 913 on the other. Manufacturer: Watson Pharmaceuticals National Drug Code (NDC): 52544-0913 Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone is a combination of two types of pain medicine to treat moderate to severe pain. for the past 3 months I have been perscribed hydrocodone 10/325. My mother also takes the same but recently had surgery and was given 10mg percocets. We were out one day and I asked for one of her pills, meaning a hydro, because I didn't have mine with me. Well, she ended up giving me a Percocet. This was Tuesday. I got an immediate job interview today (Thursday) where they did a saliva test. I'm worried that the Percocet will show up on the test. Anyone know the chances of that happening or not happening. I'd never taken a Percocet before, the pain relief was a world of difference though! The test will be back in 3 days but I'm panicking!
