why cant i find this medication ## The pill with the 54 262 marking isn't a 40mg Morphine tablet, it is a 30mg tablet and how are you going about trying to find it? If you are just calling around to the various pharmacies and asking if they have it in stock, then you have to understand that since Morphine is a narcotic/controlled substance, you are likely not getting an honest answer. Due to the very high risk of theft, most pharmacies will simply tell anyone that just calls that they do not stock these types of prescriptions. If you are just a voice on the phone, they have no way of knowing if you a legitimate customer or a potential thief. The only way to really find out if they have it in stock is to actually go into the pharmacy, in person, with your prescription in hand.

I have a round orange pill that is marked 60 on 1 side and N on the other. Could somone please tell me if this is a Morphine pill? Thank you in advance. ## Did you perhaps mean to say "M" instead of "N"? The Morphine pill that fits your description (of orange and round) has an M inside of a box, imprinted on one side and the number 60 imprinted on the other side. If this sounds like a match, then your pill is Morphine sulfate SR (60 mg), manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. For further verification, the National Drug Code (NDC) for this pill is: 00406-8380 I hope this helps! ## I appreciate your responding to my question, however the letter marked on the pill is in fact an N and not an M as you suggested. I am in Ontario, Canada and am wondering if the N could p...

I want to know if anyone makes an er 40 mg tablet ## Hello, Gary! How are you? No, there is no 40mg ER tablet available in the U.S. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

taking morphine 15 mg S A. Have been on hydrocodone 10/325APAP, and oxycodone 10/325APAP. Don't seem to be getting any relief from the morphine. Is this just a transitition, or could there be an issue here ? ## Have you consulted your doctor? It could really be either that the dose of the Morphine isn't high enough to handle your pain, or some withdrawal/rebound effects from switching medications and there is also a possibility that it's a combination of both. ## I feel that I am not getting the relief I used to get from my medication. For the past 5 years I have been taking 6 norcos 10/325 and beginning 2 years ago I began to take 2 Oycontin 40 mg per day. My doctor is very difficult to talk to about increasing my dosage. What can I do? ## I SEE THIS IS AN OLD POST, BUT IT ...

I'm on Morphine sulf 60mg ER 1 table every 12 hours plus Fentora 400 MCG Buccal tablet 1 every 6 hours. I'm ran out of the Morphine Sulf and none of the farmacy have it on stock. Now I'm with a lot of pain, I think because I'm getting the morphine out of my system, but I do have at home Oxycodone 15 MG. Do you know if I can substitute the morphine for the Oxycodone safely until I get the Morphine back within 2 days. Also if I take the Oxycodone can I still take the Fentora safely. I will not take it together, but like I take Oxycodone now and within one hour it's the time for Fentora. ## Hi, Santa! Sorry about the problem that you're having finding your medication. And yes, a sudden withdrawal from the Morphine can cause a rebound effect, which could cause worse p...

I broke my ankle two weeks ago and the doctor started me on 40 - 80 mg a day then after a week I dropped down to 20-30mg a day. It has been almost a total of 2 weeks on this medication and when I wake in the morning I feel sick and sweaty until I take my meds. I'm wondering if a person can go through withdrawal on such a small dosage and if so how long will it take for this to stop ## That's not really a small dosage, even being down to 20 to 30mgs a day is still a pretty high dose and yes, one can experience withdrawal symptoms, whenever your dosage is lowered, or if you stop taking it, according to the NIH. Other withdrawal effects may include rebound pain, fever, chills, and diarrhea. You weren't taking it for too long, so they will most likely subside in a week, or so. I...

How many 15 mg of Morphine Sulfate equal 4 of the 10 mg Hydrocodone?? ## Morphine and Hydrocodone are generally considered equal in strength, when taken orally, so a 10mg Morphine tablet would be equal to 10mgs of Hydrocodone, this your 15mg Morphine is actually a stronger dose than what you were taking of the Hydrocodone. 3 of the Morphine 15mg tablets would be 45mgs and that would actually still be 5mgs stronger than the 40mgs in 4 of the Hydrocodone tablets. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hydrocone is a short acting pain medication. The morphine is long acting. ## 2 anna half roughly equal strength as morphine and hydrocodone are equal strength

I am on 40mg of Opana and 15 mg ir morphine for 3 ruptured discs. . When I take the morphine it makes me tired. Is there an IR that will not make me groggy? ## Hello, Steven! How are you? Drowsiness is a possible side effect of all narcotics, it's really just a matter of trial an error to find one that works for you, without making you sleepy. Morphine did the same thing to me, when I was on it, I could barely ever stay awake. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you tried Oxycodone? It may work better for you.

I have been using ER 60 mg morphine sulfate x 2 daily with other meds. No one has this medicine in Tampa area and being legally blind I have no way to go to 50 pharmacies to locate because they won't tell you on the phone. Is there something equal that I can get my Dr to RX? I am running out of other medicines, need help. ## Have you ever tried Oxycontin? It's a time released formulation of Oxycodone, which is a very potent narcotic and it's also stronger than the Morphine, so you'd even require a lower dose, you'd only need 40mgs of it to equal each 60mg dosage of Morphine. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Since it is also a narcotic, it may be habit forming and can cause similar side effects to those of the Morphine, which may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth...

I think the 100 mg is a grayish color with 100 mg on one side and a TP inside a square on the other; I think the 10 mg morphine pill is a light blue color with pms on one side and scored on the other ## Since Morphine is available as a generic, the way it looks and the markings it has on the tablets is going to vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. That said, the one marked TP 100 is NOT a Morphine tablet, nor any type of narcotic. It contains 100mgs of Topirimate, an anticonvulsant medication. It is made by Apotex, they have a similar pill on the Canadian market that is yellow and includes their APO logo on one side of it. The tablet you have marked PMS is also NOT Morphine or any type of narcotic. It contains 40mgs of Propranolol, which is most commonly used to help lower blood pres...

Have been taking 400mcg Fentora with 125mcg Fentanyl Patch as prescribed by my PM doc. Fentora supposedly is only used for cancer pain. I do not have cancer just major chronic pain in knees for 10 years she believes is now CRPS. She says I have to stop either the patch or the Fentora. I have heard that Morphine is a good sub and she suggests 15mg. Dilaudid is also an option but did not have any success with that in 4mg dose. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!! ## My suggestion (sorry so late a reply) is that u stop the patch immediately. Fentanyl 50 Mcgs over 5 years has ruined my beautiful teeth. My doctor switched me from morphine 40 mg ER to 10/325 norco and he said I could take one tonight around the time I would take my morphine. My question is, has the morphine wore off enough to take the norco without causing problems? ## Hello, David! How are you? It is always best to follow your doctor's advice and it is normal to just switch them out, as they instructed. My pain specialist had me on 40 mg Opana ER and 15 mg Morphine Sulfate IR for 8 years. I had to find another doctor and starting next week I will be taking 30 mg Oxymorphone ER every 12 hours and 10 mg Oxycodone IR up to 3 per day. I have been out of my break thru pain med for 2 days now and my pain level averages 9 to 10 every day so I have taken 5 mg valium, Tylenol #3 with codine and a baclofen to stop me from going into withdrawal. What else can I do until my insurance co. gives their OK, ## Re: "Is morphine stronger than oxycodone" - I feel that answers to this question may be highly opinionated according to each individual as well as several underlying factors, including but not limited to: the binders/fillers in each respective tablet that may affect bioavailability; gene...
