Was on 360 30mg Oxycodones a month for 5 years. Doctor has now switched me to 240 30mg Oxycodone and 25mcg Fentanyl patches. I seem to be hurting worse since going on the patches. can anyone tell me if you can take oxycodone Hcl 30mg by breaking it in half. I have them for chronic pain. It is a blue round pill with a V on one side and 4812 on the other. The pill is scored on one side. It seems to be a high dose for one time. I would like to break it and only try one half the first time but I dont know if it is an IR or CR tablet. I was on 5 30mg of oxycodone ir after doing some reading after you have more than 120mg in your system the rest is not helping you it's just loading your system up and your asking for long term problems my dr. Has since put me on 3 30mg oxycodone and one 30mg morphine extended release for nighttime and that seems to be the magic for me, it helps the hard pain during the day and at night lets your system calm down when I'm sleeping. ## even though oxycodone is 1.5 x stronger than morphine, if you take an equivalent dose of mophine sulfate (90 m. vs. 60 oxy), will you still develop the same tolerance/addiction/dependency from the morphine as from the oxycodone? ## Great Gw! are these 100% oxycodone? ## This tablet contains 30mgs of Immediate Release Oxycodone, and no other drugs. Depending on the manufacturer however, there are probably fillers or what they call inactive ingredients that help bind the pill. I currently take 20mg methadone twice a day with MSIR 30mg tabs 4 daily=120 total. I am trying to find which dose of oxycodone would be the equivalant of my current dose of Morphine IR. Its been VERY hard filling that script for approx 6 months now and is getting worse. So one option is switching to another medication. Does anyone know if 2 15mg morphine tabs would be equal to 1 30mg oxycodone. Both are immediate release.
