Got my third round on Friday. 12 pellets and I'm telling you I'm a new person. I feel great while on them. The first two times I had trouble with leakage from the injection site. This time I figure to keep the bandage on and the strips on for 2 extra days. Instructions say wait 3 to 4 days to take bandage off. Has anyone else had problems like this? ## Actually yes, I had a friend in Canada who was being treated with it, and asked me about a similar issue, however, he never found a good solution, and we lost him to other issues late last year. Have you informed your doctor of the problem? What does the leakage look like? Fellow breast cancer survivors beware of Tamoxifen! I have just found out that Tamoxifen Increases your chances of getting a stronger and more deadly form of endometerial cancer by 50%! I'm so angry at my Doctors for telling me that because I had breast cancer I had an increased (30 to 50%) higher chance of getting uterine cancer. They didn't bother to tell me the percentage increased due to the Tamoxifen. All they told me about this drug is that it would decrease my chances of the breast cancer returning by 35 to 40%. Thank God I had so many issues with the Tamoxifen that after one year I made them switch me to Arimadex over all their objections that it would screw up their statistics. I'm not making this up. Please research this drug beyond the standard B,S. we have been b...

Are there any small cell lung cancer survivors that have done the immunotherapy? My boyfriend has sclc, tumor in 1 lung and lympnodes making surgery not an option. I'm having to research for options because no Dr has options other than radiation and chemo treatments which almost killed him because his AFib was ignored as was the BP meds he was taking we weren't warned and his BP dropped down to 60?/40? Could barely get a reading at his Dr. Just can't find a caring oncologist here in Tn.

i am a 23 year old four time cancer survivor with chronic pain. i take methadone but was dropped cold turkey from my clinic and have serious withdrawal if theres anyone in the pittsburgh area that can help please do. FED UP ## Why were you dropped so abruptly from the clinic? That's very unusual, since they know how dangerous Methadone withdrawals can be. Learn more Methadone details here. The best suggestion I can make is that if your withdrawals get really bad, go to a nearby emergency room, where they will have to help you, at least until you are stable. ## for failing to report that i was given a shot of pain med in the er ## im from NH, and they cant do that at our clinics. there are laws the prohibit it. Yes I'd be very grateful if someone could help me ASAP. I'm a five-time cancer patient Survivor in about to go on hospice. I have a question regarding Rhodes Pharmacy that makes a white round pill with NP on one side and the other side 20. When I looked it up it said that it was oxycodone hydrochloride. It didn't say if it was instant release or extended release which I really need to know? The other question is if it's just like Roxicodone but just a different Pharmaceutical Company and if it's just 20 mg of oxycodone with no other active ingredients but normal fillers and stuff? I'd appreciate as many replies ASAP thank you so much! ## Were you referring to the tablet with the imprint RP 20? If so, yes, it contains 20mgs of Oxycodone, in an immediate release fo...

my mom takes 36ml of liquid methadone 3 times a day and 7ml of liquid morphine every hour for cancer. I want her to get off the drugs and into some sort of treatment for her cancer. Is she going to need help getting off the drugs? ## I am a Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer survivor. And really I understand your concerns. And I guess it depends on your individual situation. Just keep in mind that it is you Mother's choice whether or not to pursue cancer treatment. Treatment in itself is a living hell and just because she starts treatment doesn't mean she will be coming off of her pain meds. Some people would rather live their last days with as little pain as possible instead of adding even more pain, stress, and agony by going through a treatment that may or may not even work. If your moth...

Hi, first of all, thank you in advance for all your assistance! I have been in 2 different car wrecks, as well as a 2 time cancer survivor. I've recently had to switch doctors as my PCWORLD has closed her practice. Anyways, I was able to find another PCP, but he has switched my pain medication from Oxycontin 60 mg ER 2x's daily to MS Contin 60 mg ER 2x's daily, he did keep my Percocets 7.5/325 2x's daily for breakthrough. Obviously the MS Contin does not work as well. My question is, he has recommended me to switch to Butrans (buprenorphine) transdermal patches. Is anyone familiar with this and if so, could you please tell me of your experience, i.e. does it work; what are the pros &/or cons. Thank you! ## I would advise you to get back on oxycontin rather than ms co...

I am from South-Africa and a breast cancer survivor. Was on Nexium tabs and it did not helped me all the time acid reflux and abdominal pain. I also got a sliding hiatal hernia. From 10/11/2014 on Altosec 20mg ..No more heart burn,no reflux sliding hiatal hernia is better. Side effects none!!! ## Hello, Princess! How are you? I'm very glad that this medication has helped you. Altosec is listed as containing the active ingredient Omeprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor, it helps reduce the amount of acid produced by your stomach. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am a colon cancer survivor. Due to losing 9" of large intestines and all but 1" of rectum, I experience severe diarrhea and resulting horrendous rectal pain. My oncologist prescribed Tincture of Opium. As the name implies, this is serious medicine. I nursed my first prescription so it lasted four years (Feb. 2006 to Feb. 2010), second prescription three years (Feb. 2010 to June 2013). When I picked up third prescription and got home with it, it did not look the same and the name was different, "C-Morphine 10 MG/1ML SUSP AKA-Opium Tincture #118". So silly me, I thought it was a generic. The first time I had an episode of diarrhea and the accompanying rectal pain, I was bedridden for hours before the pain eased off to an endurable ache. My Tincture usually worked within ...

pain medication ## My 89 year old mother-in-law was prescribed gabatentin for pain (specifically pain in the back, hips and legs). She is a cancer survivor (breast and 2-time colon) and has arthritis. Would like to get more information on this drug. She was telling me last night that since she's been taking it (approx. 1 month: dosage 2 tablets at bedtime), her speech is slower; she doesn't feel as confident; and is not as social as she was (she lives in a seniors building in Milwaukee and has been rather active). Please advise. ## My 86 year old Mom was just prescribed this-she has peripheral neuropathy due to chemo and radiation six years ago-the side effects of this med sound like problems she is already having-i.e.-loss of balance-help? ## What you are describing sounds like...

I am a 3 year breast cancer survivor taking Femara everyday. One on my side effects however is weight gain. I have gained about 30 pounds in 3 years, Can I take sensa ## Have you consulted your doctor? Sensa is listed as being a natural weight loss supplement, but that means it isn't actually proven to work, nor is it tested for interactions and safety with other medications, such as the Femara. Thus, your doctor would really be the best person to advise you in this matter.

I've been on Qsymia high dosage for over a year, exercise and watch my diet carefully. I haven't lost weight in fact I've gained 10 pounds. I'm a thyroid cancer survivor taking Synthroid daily and my thyroid blood tests are fine. This is frustrating. I too skip the dosage on weekends. I've been on qsymia for three years now. Maybe I should switch to another brand. ## Weight gain can be a side effect of Synthroid and it isn't likely to change, while you are taking it. The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and hair loss. Which medication do you skip on the weekends and why do you skip it?

I went to pick up my husband's pancrelipase and the pharmacy said it was discontinued by the manufacturer. Is this true? I know it is a generic for pancrease but it's more expensive and he is a pancreatic cancer survivor and has to take these for life. Can you please tell me if this is true? ## From the information I am finding, yes, this product has been discontinued, but no reason has been given for why this was done. The only thing I can suggest is talking to the pharmacist or contacting his doctor for an alternative. I have no idea what they prices are, but there are a few other brands on the market that contain the same ingredient, such as: Cotazym, Creon, Lipram, Ultrase, Zymase and several others. Please post back and let us know if you find something. ## Most of these pr...

Hi, i was on yellow norco and valium for severe anxiety and very bad pain all over my body. Could barely walk. I'm 71 years old and have never ever abused my meds. I had many operations in past. I'm also a cancer survivor. When i lived in ny i had a wonderful Dr and he knew i never took my meds more than i was supposed too because they really helped. I moved to sacramento and found a decent Dr but she refuses to give me norco or valium. So she sent me to a psychiatrist. I couldn't believe the med he gave me. 3 days in bed i didn't know where i was. Long story short i ended up in ER with ambulance for severe pain. It was withdrawals. They gave me norco and valium. The new white norco was the worst, it didn't work at all. I just don't understand why pharmaceutical ...

My mother is a cancer survivor and currently taking Femara. She also takes Meprobamate, Simvastatin, Fluticasone Propionate, Plavix, Omeprazole, Coreg, Digoxin, Zestril, Zyrtec and Aleve. Thank you. ## I am also a cancer survivor. Your mother needs to get clean of all these meds unless she has high blood presure. She is doing more harm then good. She needs to detox, eat well and step aside from all these advertised drugs. ## No one should stop any prescribed medication, without their doctor's approval.
