I found information online last night that the Roxane Labs 30 mg, morphine sulfate, imprint 54 262, with scored line on other side is a time released medication, with common usage of every 12 hours. A friend of mine got a prescription of this exact med and the directions are to take 1/2 to 1 pill every 4 hours. Also, there were no warning labels on the bottle regarding not breaking or chewing this med. If this med is time released is he not in danger by breaking the pill in order to only take half? ## Any time one breaks or crushes a time release medication they are altering the way the dosage is delivered. This is especially worrisome when it is a narcotic like Morphine, because it allows the dosage to be given all at once instead of over time. There are 15mg tabs that are immediate re...

I ran out of my pain meds which are Oxycodone 10/325 and found some 30mg Morphine IR. I have been taking the Morpine every 3-4 hours but have taken 6 since 5 this morning. EST. It is now 12:30 I haven't taken one since 8 and am hurting. Is it reasonable to take one now? I know I wont sleep with this pain. ## Yes, for the immediate release Morphine you should be okay to take it (4 1/2 hours after your last dose) - unless the dosage instructions specifically state "do not take more than xxx per 24 hours". Hope that makes sense. I know you asked this a couple days ago, but how are you doing now? Wishing you good health!

All of you out there investigating the half moon pills. Actavis makes a white round pill with a moon on one side and the #262 on the other. Be careful, these are oxymorphone 15mg. Used for pain. ## Hi June, Thank you for taking the time to share this information. For anyone else needing a second opinion, I can also confirm that these are identified as 15mg Oxymorphone hydrochloride tablets made by Actavis. However it should also be noted that they are in "extended release" form as well. For verification, the National Drug Code on these tablets are 00228-3262. You can learn more about this medication on the page for Oxymorphone Details Does anyone out there have personal experience or feedback from using this particular brand?

I came across a pill that was supposed to have 15mg oxycodone and 15mg morphine in same pill. It is round white with 262 on one side, and what looks like a crescent moon design or whatever on the other side. What is it, and is the above pill even manufactured? ## There is no such combination pill in the U.S. What your tablet contains is 15mgs of Oxymorphone, it is not a combination of both, but it is a narcotic analgesic. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and dry mouth. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## Its actually called oxymorphone is the name of it. ## Umm I'm a little late but oxymorphone contained both oxycodone and morphine!!!
