Can I use beyond expiration date? ## There's actually a lot of conflicting information around the topic of expired medication, but according to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. This conclusion was based upon a study conducted at the request of the US military due to stockpiles of expensive drugs they could otherwise need to replace every few years. Hi i just picked up my percription for zanex at a different pharmacy and they have a imprint of 1 1 on it i was wondering if anybody had anything to say about this type of brand. ## Caraco pharmaceuticals does make the generic Xanax (a.k.a Alprazolam). The specific imprint you have listed describes the generic 2 mg tablets. It seems that they only started making this in the past 5 years or so, but I could be wrong. How should someone wean himself off Xanax XR 1 mg per day if he has been on it for one month for anxiety? ## I would say taking 0.5mg once a day and 0.25mg once a day for a week, then reduce to 0.25 twice a day for a week and finally 0.25mg once a day for a week. I get a script of 60 of the 7.5 mgs of tranxene (clorazapate) and I need a doc or a professional in the pharmaceutical to give me a correct answer because my doc doesn't like giving out the really strong benzos and says she's hesitate to up my dosage to 15mgs and the 7.5 don't work I gotta take four or five just to relieve a lil bit so I'm just curious bcuz a zanny Barr usually does the trick sometime two just depends. From what I've researched Kalma appears to be an Australian trade name of Alprazolam, made by Alphapharm. It reportedly comes in 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg and 2mg dosage forms and carries the following set of inactive ingredients: lactose sodium benzoate maize starch magnesium stearate sodium starch glycollate microcrystalline cellulose colloidal anhydrous silica povidone docusate sodium indigo carmine (Kalma 0.5 mg and Kalma 1 mg only) erythrosine (Kalma 0.5 mg only) The tablets are also listed as being gluten free.
