Are they real? ## Hi wonderer, Based on my research, GG 249 tablets are supposed to be legitimate 2mg Alprazolam tablets, manufactured by Sandoz. However there have been several reports about fake one's going around from those who choose to obtain their medication by non-licensed overseas distributors; at which point any pill is subject to being counterfeit, no matter what it might look like. I don't know about the "coating" details specifically, but I would recommend running a search on some images to get a better visual perspective so you can compare your tablet that way as well. I got chalky tasting xanax with imprint gg249 on one side. And smooth on the back, I haven't taken one until I figure out if they're good or not. Anyone else been prescribed these? Do they work, are they a legitimate brand? ## There's actually been several other discussion threads started about these GG 249 bars either being fake or real. Most comments I've read state that the fake ones feel like a placebo or a 0.5mg dose, but then again every batch could be different. Based on my research, if it's real, the pill imprint "GG 249" on a white rectangle-shaped tablet should include a few score marks that EITHER look like this: G|G24|9 (but also with a partial score above/below the "2"); and on the backside of the tablet there should be three full score l...

Also I received the bars imprinted with GG 249 and some of them were a tad bit shorter than the normal ones and when layed flat next to each other the shorter ones were a bit more rounded. Does anybody know if the manufacturer changed the size of these alprazolam tablets or is it possible that the shorter ones are fake? I would also really like to know how these tabs are supposed to be ingested, are they meant to be swallowed whole, placed on tongue and swallowed after being dissolved or do they need to be dissolved completely under the tongue without swallowing??? I know it can be done either way but which is the intended method and which is more effective? I would like to know also how the Xanax tablets imprinted with V 2 0 9 0 are supposed to be taken and which route is more effectiv...
