2008 Pill

A prescription from 2008 is most probably out of date. I take this medication every day for a chronic condition and would never take a pill that old, even if I had significant pain. Call your local pharmacist for more info. ## I have been told to not take pain meds over one year old, however I was told by a pharmacist that it would be ok, however I just don't think I personally would risk taking anything more than the expiration date if more than a year old. Just my opinion.

This tablet is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. This medication does not get dangerous, once expired, but it does start to lose effectiveness. Under optimal storage conditions in the original factory sealed container, it would only last about 4 years and you cannot safely take multiples due to the Acetaminophen in them. My RX always reads 30mg phenobarbital (54 years now). I see I am now taking 32.4mg. Pharmacy claims only pheno. available is 32.4mg. Is there a difference? I have been taking 32.4 approx. 4 months. ## Hello, Lew! How are you? Well, the dosage is different, but that's it. I found a full bottle of zantrex-3. It's a shame to just throw them away! Is it safe to take these pills? And will they still be as strong as brand new pills? What can I expect, if i take them?

I have some amoxicilina 500 mg. july 2008 can it be used ## Hi mary, I honestly wouldn't recommend using any expired antibiotics that are more than a couple months old. That's just me personally. Reason being is that certain ones can actually become toxic after the expiration date, making them more harmful than they are good. If it were any other type of drug I would say yes, as most properly stored medications can last up to 10-15 years beyond their expiration date (according to a study done by Harvard University). I have been suffering chronnicaly since 2008. Its has gotten tremenduosly worst over the years. It first started after being a passenger in a terrible carwreck. That's when I found ou I have Fibroymyalgia,Myofasciak Syndome,and extremely middle and lower back pain that radiates into my right hip,front ot bothl legs,I get Tenion headaces and Migraains too. I got hydrocodone but the bottle says to throw way after 10.2008, can I still take them? ## I have taken hydrocodone off and for about six years and the last two, every day. Are Toprol Xl 50 Tablets From 2006-2008 Still Good To Use? They are in unsealed bottles. ## Once a medication such as this is past its expiration date, which would have been a year from when they were dispensed, or the bottles were unsealed, they start to lose effectiveness, so it is unlikely that they will be worth taking after this long of a time period. pills expired in 2008- are they still good to treat poison oak in August 2011 ## Certain drugs are actually okay to take after expiration, whereas others such as antibiotics can become toxic. My personal assumption is that it lost a good percentage of its potency by now, having been 3-4 years old. I would also check with your doctor or pharmacy to make sure that you're using the most effective treatment option for poison oak. It may still be effective, but not nearly as potent. It's also impossible to give a direct answer to this question, since each medication can effect people differently. Is it safe to take Ciprofloxacin pills white oblong VP 120 in combination with adder all 30mg tablets? also, the Ciprofloxacin expired in 2008. ## The tablets with this marking aren't listed as being Coprofloxacin. They are listed as being a different type of antibiotic that is sold under the name brand Bactrim, which contains the active ingredients Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim. It does not get dangerous, past the expiration date, but it does lose effectiveness, which ups the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. I am not finding an interactions listed between it and Adderall, but you should really consult a doctor, or pharmacist to be certain and to get a more recent prescription of an antibiotic, if you need it. I received pills packaged as "teva pharmaceuticals usa ndc 0093-0033-01 extended release 80mg". They look like the real thing kinda at least for the packaging. The pills have an X scoring on one side and no product identifier. I called Teva and they are puzzled since their product was discontinued in 2008.
