I have a vial of fentanyl 50 ml single dose vial. Is it still safe to inject? ## It wouldn't be recommended if it expired back in 2007, not only has it lost some effectiveness by now, but it is also likely that some of the ingredients have started to settle out, which could create risks of blockages, if you try to use it. Are there any other questions or comments? ## What do you mean by blockage?

Experiencing severe back pain have already went for MRI and have been prescribed with hydrocodone but doesn't seem to touch it. I have some oxycodone left over from July 2007, why I don't know but wondered if they would still be good, only have 8 of them???? ## This medication does not become dangerous, once expired, but it does lose effectiveness and may not work as well as it did, when fresh and new. Thus, it would be best to dispose of it and see your doctor for a new prescription. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I needed some pain meds and found an old bottle of Ibuprofen in my drawer and wondered if it has lost some potency or would be harmful? ## Certain drugs are actually okay to take after expiration, whereas others such as antibiotics can become toxic. My personal assumption is that it lost a good percentage of its potency by now, having been 5 years old. It may still be somewhat effective, but not nearly as potent. It's also impossible to give a direct answer to this question, since each medication can effect people differently. We all know that it's better to avoid the expired drugs and stay on the safe side, but unfortunately, the only way to find out if it works is to actually try it. I wouldn't suggest taking that risk, but if you have no other option then it's probabl...

Does this have any effectiveness? Just had minor surgery and my husband gave this to me but I don't think it is working. ## No, it most likely doesn't, according to the NIH. It would be best to dispose of it and obtain a new supply that isn't expired. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Naproxen as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Did the surgeon not prescribe anything?

ic cephalexin 500 mg. 2007 are the still potent ## Cephalexin is an antibiotic, used to treat many types of infections. No, by now they have started to lose potency. Prescription tablets are only good for one year after the prescription is filled, after that they begin to lose efficacy. That said, they may not work as well and you run the risk of creating anitbiotic resistant bacteria. If you think you have an infection, you should see your doctor for a new prescription. Do you have any other questions?

Nuvugil is a very expensive form of Provigil, which is a medicatiom used for those with narcolepsy, those who work rotating shifts and those who need help staying alert during the day. Nuvigil has to be approved by your medical insurance company and the original price is about $386.82 for 30 pills. With insurance, the prescription is $89. Nuvigil is expensive but it does keep me awake. ## Nuvigil contains the active ingredient Armondafanil, it is a stimulant medication used to treat narcolepsy. It has NOT, yet, been approved for the other uses you mentioned. The reason it is so expensive is because it is very new to the market. It was only approved by the FDA in 2007, so there are no generics available at this time. The price with medical insurance or without it, will vary according to ...

Hi there, I took a trepiline overdose in 2007. About 40. I was in a coma for about 2 days. Doctors couldn't say if I was going to make it. Eventually i gained consciousness. It is now 6 years and not sure if the effects of the overdose is causing me : memory loss, I could be speaking about something and simply forget the entire gist of the conversation in seconds. Everything I could remember is just faint now. I cant even remember proper words and how to use them in context to sentence. This happens everyday. ## Hi, Livian! Sorry about the problem that you're having. And yes, it is possible that the overdose did some type of permanent damage that's causing this problem. But have you consulted your doctor? It's very important to do so, in order to discover if this is rela...
