Can I take 2-18mg of Concerta to equal my 36mg. I ran out of my 36mg and I have 4 18mg from previous script ## Hello, Lois! How are you? Yes, that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, nervousness and insomnia. This medication also carries the risk of being habit forming. Is there anything else I can help with?

My son has been on the 18mg of Concerta for about 3 years. Just this past month when we went to pick up the prescription at the pharmacy, the pills look like a different shape. They still have the correct alza ... on them. The reason I am asking is that my son has not been himself, acting out, etc. since taking these. I am not sure if anyone else has had the same issue. P.S. got them at a major pharmacy chain. When I called the pharmacist he said they are carefully monitored.

My son, who is 8, started 18mg Concerta a couple of weeks ago for ADHD. The first couple of days it was wonderful. He was generally happier, his concentration was excellent. He did talk a mile a minute and had trouble falling asleep at night. Both my husband and I were amazed at how well it worked. But the effect has been steadily becoming less and less by the day. It's been 2 weeks now and he's very much like how he was (impulsive, no concentration, doesn't listen etc) even while on medication. Has anyone else experienced this and if we up the dosage now, how many more times and how often would we have to up it??? ## My step son has worked his way up to 90mg of Concerta a day. He is 10. 18mg is a very low dose, you may want to speak to your doctor about it. Oh and if you ar...

Hello. Today was the first day I took my concerta. I took one 18mg at 9am this morning and by noon I still haven't felt it. So at around 1.30-2pm I took another 18mg. It is now 4.15pm and I still haven't felt any difference. I still can't focus on my studying, but my head and stomach feel just slightly different but not my brain. I can feel the lost of appetite a little bit but that's it. I still can't focus on my work. I am quite afraid that it will start kicking in by the time I go to bed. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks. ## While the Methylphenidate in Concerta is a stimulant and will have some immediate effect, it's going to take several weeks for it to reach its full effectiveness in the body, similarly to other medications. half white, half yellow, w/ Lilly 3238 18mg ## This is the ADHD drug Strattera 18mgs.

My Dr. gave me Nucynta 50 mg yesterday. If I run out of my Hyromorphone Hcl 18mg, can I take the new drug Nucynta 50mg for withdrawals from Hyromorphone Hcl? If anyone has had hands on experience with this, or know's of someone that has? Any help would be well appreciated! I ended up taking the NUCYNTA this morning due to acute pain brought on by a car accident 4 weeks ago. ## I have been taking this medication for a month now. Dose is 4x a day and I am very pleased , the pain relief as been relieved immensely , Vicodin was not doing much other than making me a couch potato . Down side is you can't miss a dosage or pain returns quickly, lower back and legs in my case. Overall for me it is a 10 enabling me a much more active lifestyle.

Have been on Warfarin since 2002 due to DVT left leg. I have Factor5Leidon half value and therefore i am on a very high dose of Warfarin (18mg/pd). I am also a Type2 Diabetic(Insulin Dependent). I would like to change to Xarelto to allow me to use natural remedies etc to help with the Diabetes. Warfarin doesn't lend itself to being mixed with too many other products. Have discussed this with my GP and she is not keen on me changing over. She believes that there has not been adequate testing and trials for Xarelto. There are also no published papers on the effects of Xarelto with Diabetes. I would like to know more about the drug in relation to Diabetes before jumping ship from Warfarin care. ## Hello, Shane! How are you feeling? Yes, that is normal and it should pass, as your body gets used to the medication. If it doesn't, then you should consult your doctor. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, nervousness, anxiety and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

Does anyone have any tips how to not feel horrible from their suppressed appetite? I've been on Concerta in the past and I know I have the hardest time with this side effect whenever my dose is increased. I'm on day 2 on 27mg after a month of 18mg and I literally felt like I was going to puke just trying to eat a grape? I do eat a little before I take it in the morning. Should I just stick to water while I can't eat anything (it usually wears off around 7pm and I get an appetite back) ## These medications can cause suppressed appetite and anorexia, according to FDA reports. You may also experience dizziness headache, nervousness, irritability, and insomnia. It would be best to speak to your doctor, you might need to switch to a different medication. I am trying to figure out what pill this is that my 8 yr old step-daughter takes. I have used tons of pill ID websites, looked at over 400 different pictures of pills and found NO matches. She used to take Focalin, then was switched to Concerta 18mg...now she has this very small, round, dark pink/pink/maybe peach-ish colored, solid tablet, no scores, and blank on one side and "18" printed in black on the other side. This is weirding me out that I cant identify it!! Thank for any info! ## I take the same medication as your stepdaughter. I just picked up a refill bottle today, and it looks just like you described (small, round and pink with a black "18" on one side). Due to a physician error I am unable to get my prescription filled for 18 mg hydromorph contin, and he's now on vacation. I have old 100 mg tablets of ms contin that was prescribed in 2011. Can I take these safely as a substitute until I can resolve the prescription problem? ## Hello, Patty! How are you? It would take 72mgs of the MS Contin to equal each 18mgs of the Hydromorphone. However, the problem is that your MS Contin tablets are expired. Medications lose effectiveness over time, so you should actually dispose of them. Doubling up isn't safe to try, either, since that could result in an overdose.
