DILAUDID
My doctor put me on 16 mg of Dilaudid. The perscription says Exalgo. Is that a brand name? I was taking oxycotin 40 mg 3 times a day and 10mg perts. 3 times a day. isn't 16 mg a high dose? ## Both Exalgo and Dilaudid are brand names for the narcotic Hydromorphone. As to the 16mgs, it is not really high when you have an opiate tolerance and use high doses of them on a regular basis, which is what you were doing. It does carry the risk of side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Dilaudid 30 Mg
what does a dilaudid 30 mg look like color shape and ## There is no 30mg Dilaudid pill on the U.S. market. Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone and regular release tablets are only available in a maximum of 8mgs, the extended release in 16mgs and and extended release capsule in 32mgs. There are also generics on the market and they will all have different markings to enable their identification. Are there any markings on the tablet you are questioning? If so, please post back with them and I will gladly check it for you to see what it contains. ## The extended release were taken off the market by the FDA. ...

Way too much dilaudid
Hello everyone, Currently i am prescribed 16mg orally of dilaudid every 3-4 hours. I have just begun my 1st day of weaning myself off by cutting down to 14 mg for this next whole week, with the help of valium. I will continue to cut down like this until the last dose. Now i understand that this is an extremely high dose but im focusing on getting off of it and not worrying about how i got on it. The reason it got so high was because i have this chronic severe chest pain that after 4 1/2 months they have been unable to find a reason for the pain. Last week in the hospital i was in so much pain and and didnt know why until i found out that some idiot dr. cut my dilaudid dose in half, so i was screaming and pain and going through severe withdrawl. I know i have a long tough road ahead of m... ...

Exalgo 5 16mg A Day With Dilaudid 8mg for Breakthough
For the past year I have been taking Exalgo 16mg 5 pills in the morning with 8mg of Dilaudid for b/t pain. I had a severe back injury 4 yrs. ago. In the past I have taken Oxyicontin w/roxy & Mophine Sulfate w/a low dose morphine for b/t . Each pair for a little over a year. The Oxycontin was the best for my pain, I was able to function better. I transformed from an ambitious friendly person to a fowl mouthed demon. Awful!! Morphine after 1 1/2 years and losing five teeth, I was sure I had Alzheimers. I had no recall, couldn't remember names or how to do things. Now on Exalgo w/Dilaudid for b/t. It does not give me great pain relief but mentally I am close to normal, except for the depression, I cannot shake, for 3 years now. Please I need help with getting a new prescription. I ... ...

Withdrawal from dilaudids
Hey everyone, im recently cutting down from 16mg of dilaudid every 3-4 hrs to im at 4mg every 4 hrs now. Ive been on dilaudid for 10 months for a tumor that went undiagnosed for 8 months. Most doctors thought i was just drug seeking because they couldnt find out what was causing my pain, so im relieved they finally found something and i had it removed and i feel so much better. Now all my other problems are solved except for the dilaudid dependance. Any tips on getting off this stuff. It gets extremely unbearable after just 5 hours from the last dose. I know i dont need it for pain anymore, i just want to be off everything and back to normal. Any help would be appreciated ## Hey, that's all normal. I'm in the same boat but w/oxycodone. Anyone who's not an opiate user (and es... ...

is dilaudid and oxycodone30 the same
My dr switched my oxycodone 30mg to dilaudid 8 mg.I am wondering how they compare to one another ## Based on my research, Dilaudid is much stronger then Oxycodone, but it doesn't last very long in it's immediate release formula. Oxycodone has an extended release formula (Oxycontin); which may be better suited for some people when used chronically for long term pain relief. 8mg of Dilaudid is "roughly equivalent" to 20mg of Oxycodone. This information is based on my own findings and is not relative to each individual's body chemistry or cross tolerance, as every drug can effect each person differently. I hope this info helps! ## what mg of dilaudid is equal to 15 mg of oxycodone ## 5mg Dilaidid ## 16MG of dilaudid(2 8mg tabs) is equal to 30mg oxycodone swallowing dila... ...

What is the dosage equivilent from DILAUDID 4MG to OPANA IR 10mg and..
I was just changed from the best pain meds I have found in 12 years of chronic pain (Exalgo ER 16mg + 4mg x 4 for breakthrough) because of a Medicare deal. Now I'm dealing with Opana ER 30mg twice daily and 10mg hydromorphone. So far the itching hasn't killed me, but I am reminded of why we switched in the first place. On the other hand, the strength seems more... I haven't been able to fill Opana ER (from Thurs to Tues is a long haul especially if I didn't have a spouse who hide meds when I need them to...) My math sucks. Not as much as withdrawal or OD though. What's the conversion? Happy Florist's Day! My first day here, glad I found you. ## Yes, you are on a slightly higher dosage, now. Thats why it feels like the strength is more. This is a narcotic analgesi... ...

Opiate Dosages
I currently take very high dosages of oxycodone 30mg ir and dilaudid 8mg. I think after the process of elimination that my body isn't tolerating the morphine (dilaudid) and I've been on oxy for years. I was on 80mg oc before the op and couldn't tolerate new op because of binder I wasn't getting the needed meds. I need to go off of the dilaudid going to dr tomorrow, I want to be educated and know if I switch over to only oxycodone is it reasonable to ask for the equivalent of oxy to the dilaudid in addition to the amount of oxy I am currently taking? Thank you and FYI I take 90mg oxy 4x day and 16mg dilaudid 4x day and I stagger so that pain is controlled round the clock. Thank you ps what I woul like is oxy equal to dilaudid dosage. ## Dialudid contains Hydromorphone, it... ...

fatal dose of dilaulid
I've taken 16mg of dilaudid. All I feel is shortness of breath and intense chess pain. How much does it take to be fatal? I also took 75mg of phrenagran ## It all depends on your tolerence... Few yrs ago was taking 24mg 12mg 12 hour ones to get out of bed... 6 8mg during day and same at night.. Lay down puch your stomach like your ppoping lol it slows your heart down.. Had to do this quite often because hole in heart. Slow long breaths in thru nose out thru mouth :) don't think about it because then you panic and make your heart rate higher lol ...
