I started taking meloxicam 15mg and asked my pharmacist if I can cut it in half because the full 15mg was giving me a side effect of shortness of breath. I been taking half of it for a week now and have no side effects but my back is still in pain. Should I try taking the full 15mg or cut a half of a half in half and take a third of the pill for a week and then start taking the full dose ## Hi anna, With all due respect, these are very personal dosing questions you're asking that are probably best discussed between you and your doctor. However from what I understand, due to safety reasons, it is usually a good idea to start off small and then work your way up to higher doses from there. Some people can make that decision incrementally based off how they feel, but I find that even th...

can meloxicam be taken with celecoxib ? ## Hi John, According to umm.edu's drug interaction checker, there are no interactions listed between Celecoxib and Meloxicam. This is not to say that no interactions exist period, but based on these findings I don't see any reason why you couldn't take them together unless instructed otherwise by your prescribing doctor. Also, as long as it was the same doctor who prescribed both meds, I highly doubt he/she would give you anything that couldn't be taken at the same time or at least within the same day, for safety reasons. They have to watch their own back just as much for risk of litigation if they ever did prescribe two contradicting drugs. I hope this helps!

I started taking Meloxicam (15 mg) ten days ago for spondyloarthritis. I few days ago, I started having headaches and tension in my neck/shoulders. I read that you're not supposed to take iboprofen or other NSAIDS with it, so I took Tylenol instead to get rid of the headache, which worked. I also noticed that I was having bloating, belching, loose stools/diarrhea, and weight gain, despite diet and exercise. In fact, while I was doing my walking yesterday (roughly 3 miles or so in an air conditioned mall), I started feeling a little lightheaded and getting winded easier than I should have. Afterwards, on my way home, I stopped by the grocery store and was still feeling a little strange and when I reached the blood pressure machine I decided to check mine. It was high for me: 161/90+ ...
