Trying to identify this pill. ## I have a yellow, oval pill with 106 s stamped on one side, blank on the back. What is it? ## yellow pill 106 S on one side blank the other. Try flipping it around, S 901look that up abd you will find generic xanax. ## Winbag is right - You are reading it upside down. It is S 901 not 106 S. It's a .5 mg generic Xanax. Upon more searching I found that if I turned it upside down that it was s 901. It was a generic Xanax .05. I'm so glad I kept searching. I would have thrown it away. Now, feeling more relaxed. These are 0.5mg tablets and for Xanax, that's a relatively high dose. You shouldn't take any medication that has not been prescribed for you and benzodiazepines can be very dangerous, if you aren't tolerant to them. Additionally, if you take them for awhile at a higher dose, by doubling up, then suddenly run out and stop, it creates the risk of seizures. This medication also carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.. It's a small yellow gel capsule almost egg shapped. Has the marking ASC on one side and 106 on the other ## It's a small gel capsule oval shaped w/ASC on one side and 106 on the other. I just made the mistake got prescribed Xanax 0.5 mgs have to take it twice a day, and I typed in 106 s at first and was confused, I just realized now it was upside down lol, this is a good site to find out anything though about any pill, thanks for everyone's input. ## Hi Stefanie, No worries about the typo! white ## I believe I located your pill to be Erythromycin stearate (250 mg). This pill looks to be yellow and not white but otherwise fits your description. I have been given yellow alprazolam oval shaped and on one side reading 106S and the other side says nothing; I have taken Geneva GG257 peach color for years and they helped; the yellow ones do absolutely nothing; the label says Geneva on it; I cannot find any information other than Dava makes a pill that says 106 on one side and there is an S on the other. I have used the same drug store for 50 years and I am not confrontational but I have taken alprazolam for 34 years and I know these yellow pills are not the same. Perhaps you can ask your Pharmacy if they could replace the medicine with a different generic if available, or perhaps allow you purchase the name brand drug at your extra cost?
