Got someone with these and she thinks they have been remaking them. Is there a way to check them to see if they are the original formulation? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? Where did she get them? If they are from a legitimate U.S. pharmacy, then she shouldn't have anything to worry about. The tablets with the M 523 marking are manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, if they are from some other source, the only thing she could so would be to pay to have them lab tested somewhere. Is there any...

A friend of mine had some of these and they made her sick. I had to have her stomach pumped. We saw on this website where these were fake pills. Is there any truth to this? ## Hi Melissa, A white oblong shaped pill with M523 on one side and 10/325 on the back is reportedly identified as a generic Acetaminophen + Oxycodone HCL tablet, made by Mallinckrodt. For verification, you can visit the following National Drug Code link: 0406-0523 Having said this, her pill does fit the description of a real product... However if she isn't going through her doctor to obtain a prescription then they could be anything pressed and shaped to look like something real. I'm not insinuating that this is the case here, but she shouldn't have to question their legitimacy if she filled a prescripti...

My roommate keeps taking my medication. Finally I started hiding it. I think she may have found my meds took some and replaced what she took with pressed or fake M/523. The one I think is real doesn't rub off on my hand when I handle them. When I line up the pills all face up with the M/523 showing and then flip them over all the same way, some of the imprints on the back are upside down and some right side up. Question, are all pills manufactured identically or can the imprints sometimes get mixed up? ## I just obtained my monthly script from Wally World (degenerative disk disease). My doctor prescribed me Oxycodone 10/325 for extreme pain. I normally take Norco 10/325 for chronic back pain. I split those in half and take half every 4 hours. I want to split these m523 oxycodone in half but there isn't a score mark like my other meds. Is it safe to split m523 pills in half? Thank you ## I don't see anything which specifically says it's an extended release tablet, so in theory it might be okay to take half at a time. But that being the case, why is there no score line? I would recommend double checking with the pharmacist as they would be able to tell you for sure. Can you please share the outcome? For reference, this tablet contains Acetaminophen 325 mg + Oxycodone 10 mg (NDC 0406-0523). Inactive Ingredients: - Crospovidone - Cellulose, Microcrystalline ...

I have taken 10/325 MD 523 generic for years. I took IP 204 for a month with noticeable side effects; swollwen feet and less bowel movement, even with daily miralax. My question....DOES IP 204 CAUSE BULDGING FEET THEN MD 523??????????? Thank you for any comments. ## Did you mean the tablet with the M523 10/325 marking? Because there isn't one with an MD on it. The constipation can be a side effect of any narcotic opiate and though it isn't common, Percocet can cause fluid retention in some people, as well. There can be slight fluctuations from one generic to another, so taking a different one may have caused the problem, but you should really have it checked out by your doctor to be safe.
