I am taking macaroot and vitex it says take one pill three times a day but I always forget can I take all three at once Or is that really bad? If i do it what kind of results could it have? ## @Dominique, From your description I get the sense that it may be best to continue trying to adhere to the dosing guidelines listed on the packaging, since that's probably how you optimize its effectiveness. However, from my own understanding it may also depend on what dose you're taking. Reason I say that is because Vitex reportedly comes in dosage forms of up to 400mg and the average dose of maca is listed at 1,000mg to 2,000mg. My theory is that if you fall within these parameters then it's still considered a "normal" dose, whether taken all at once or divided throughout the ...

How many tablets should I take in whole is it 4 whole tablet or I have to make half of two tablet and take 4 times ## Hello, Geet! How are you? It would be best to double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure, but under U.S. FDA prescribing guidelines that would be 8 tablets a day, you would take 2 pills for each dose, every 6 hours. What medication have you been prescribed?

I have been on Contrace for 6 weeks now, and am very pleased with the results. I was prescribed contrave due to severe endometriosis and other hormonal issues I was having. I didnt start taking it until 5 weeks ago, about 3 months after my hysterectomy. I am 28, and am going through serious hormonal stuff along with menopause, and I would diet and exercise yet nothing was happening with my weight. So I decided to start my contrave to help, and it has really moved things along for me. However, when I got to week 4 and upped my daily dosage to 2 i the AM and 2 in the PM, I experienced some serious nausea and dizziness; blinding optic nerve headaches. I understand that these are common side effects, but I have 2 small children and cannot live that way. So I decided to try taking 1 pill eve...

How long is the interval for 3 x a day be? ## Hi Maureen, If you're to take one pill 3 times a day, the best advice I can offer is that you divide 24 (hours in day) by 3. This would equate to taking one pill every 8 hours. I hope this makes sense! Please post back if you have any other questions or comments regarding this. ## 3 TAB A DAY, OF LEVETIRACETA 1000MG. HE WOULD LIKE TO SPREAD THEM OUT. ## Not true. That's every 8 hours. When it's 3 times a day you take 3 times during the day. You don't have to wake up or take it around the clock.only if it says every 8 hours. So what times are best for you. I take mine morning, lunch, and dinner. ## This is the most intelligent, well-explained answer to this question that I've ever come across. My Dr was not able to tell me...

Am I taking two daily( one morning and night) or four daily as in two in the morning and two in the afternoon? ## Take one in the morning and one at night. ## Have you double checked with your pharmacist, or doctor? That wording is a bit hard to understand, it could mean to take one tablet twice daily, or that you could take one to two tablets twice daily. The FDA warns that this medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. I am taking DOXYCYCLINE HYCLATE it says one pill twice a day for ten days, but what would happen if I took three a day instead l? ## Hello, MermaidGirl! How are you? This is an antibiotic, so the amount in your body needs to remain consistent for the duration of treatment, in order to eradicate the bacteria. Thus, you should take it twice a day, as prescribed. I was diagnosed with shingles and was prescribed with ACYCLOVIR 400 MG TABLETS and it says to take 2 tablets by mouth five times per day for 7 days.. But I don't understand? How many hours apart do I wait for each set of two tablets? ## I was just given the same med, but mine is 1 tab 5x day. My doctor said I didn't have to wake up at night for a dose, so I set this up: 6am,10am, 2pm, 6pm and the last one for the day @ 10pm. Hope this helps. ## My prescription for CARB/LEVO 25 - 100 mg reads: Take 1 and 1/2 tablets by mouth 5 times a day. The first pill would be at 8:00 AM. When would the times be for pills 2, 3, 4 and 5 - if bedtime is involved, which would be at 22:30 / 10:30 PM? Thank you for your assistance.

When taking prescribed antibiotics and the dosage is 1 pill twice a day, how many hours should before the next dosage? ## Hi Dman, Based on a 24 hour time scale, if you're required to take 1 pill twice daily, that "generally" means taking 1 pill every twelve hours. However I would recommend double checking this with your doctor first, in case he or she has special instructions for your individual case. From what I understand, the dosing schedule may also depend on the brand and whether or not it's an extended release tablet. I hope this helps! How are you? You can just start taking 2 a day, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, there is no harm from taking less, but you may have experienced more pain than if you'd been taking two. The FDA classifies this medication as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. I'M TAKING CYCLOBENZAPR 10MG TAKE 1 TABLET 3 TIMES A DAY AS NEEDED. NOW IF MY PAIN GETS WORSE BEFORE MY MED IS DO CAN I TAKE ONE EARLIER ## Hello, Tony! How are you? No, you shouldn't take it earlier than the prescribed dosing schedule. This isn't an analgesic, anyway, so it really won't help with pain like that. The FDA classifies this as a muscle relaxant, so it helps relieve the pain associated with strains, sprains and spasms. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. If you need something else for pain, you should speak to your doctor about what you can take. Can someone go immediately from 2mg of Ativan four times a day to Klonopin 3 times a day without horrible withdrawal? ## What is the dosage of Klonopin that has been prescribed? It is stronger than Ativan and someone would need 4mgs of it to be equal to the 8mgs of Ativan. The FDA classifies these medications as benzodiazepines. Is there a difference between 1 pill every 8 hours and 1 pill 3 times a day? 3 times a day is 8 hours yet I've seen it written both ways. ## Hello, Bosco! How are you? Yes, there is a difference. As is stated, one is meant to be taken precisely every 8 hours, but the other is just 3 times a day. That three times a day doesn't necessarily mean it has to be 8 hours apart, for instance, the doctor may just mean for someone to take it with breakfast, lunch and dinner, or in the morning when waking, at lunchtime and then at bedtime. Some medications need to be taken on a precise schedule to keep the level of them in your body consistent for them to work best, but with some medications, it doesn't matter. Can you use fortesta 2 times a day? Such as morning and evening. ## Hello, Jim! How are you? You should only use it according to your doctor's prescribing instructions. Using too much could result in a hormone imbalance the other way and too high of a level can also cause many medical issues. When was your testosterone level last checked? ## It's been about 4 months since my last test. I can tell my level drops off significantly after 8 hrs. Another application and I feel much better. ## Of course you could split the dosage in 12hr shifts. The peak after dosing is the fourth hr w/second-fifth hr being the sweet spot. But, in doing so you lose the euphoria of the fourth hr peak which will now be half as much though twice a day. In once a day dose you start feeling the effect at o...

I am on an antibiotic for herpes. The instructions say to take one pill 5 times per day. Do I need to wake up at night to take it? I can only take it during the day between 5 am and 9 pm. ## Hi Patty - Exactly which medication have you been prescribed? To answer your question, no, you should not have to wake up to take a dose unless is specifically says so in the instructions given to you. Otherwise, you can space the 5 doses among the hours that you are awake. So, if you are awake from 5 am to 9 pm, that is 16 hours of being awake. 16 hours / 5 doses = one dose approximately every 3 hours or so. Do the instructions say that it can be taken with or without food? I hope this helps and best wishes!

If your daughter is prescribed to take every 6 hours, she needs to take 4 pills a day. Sometimes, you need to wake up during the night to take them. Or, maybe try 6:00am, 12:00 noon, 6:00pm and midnight. That might work. ## Thank you Cats68 for your reply.
