I have been taking anywhere from 5 to 10 mg of methadone a day for about 1 month. I only take it once a day, and at the same time every day (at night before bed) for back pain. If I stop taking it cold turkey at this point, will I experience withdrawals? ## Yes, you will most likely still experience some withdrawal effects, such as nausea, fever, chills, diarrhea and rebound pain, as listed by the FDA. Methadone is very well known to be habit forming and to cause withdrawals, that's why many people that take t for addiction treatment end up requiring a lifetime maintenance dose of it and never truly end up drug free. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? ## No, I have not. I've stopped taking it, and after the 1st night I had hot sweats. Nothing else so far, but I'm...

I didn't know there is a 12 month implant of naltrexone. How would one go about getting it ## I've heard from someone that naltrexoneimplanteurope provides it, it's something like refindyour way. Try to google. ## Hi D, I'm not sure where you're located, but I just wanted to offer an additional option for other readers. In the US there's also The Coleman Institute (TCI) that provides patients with 12 month Naltrexone implant therapy. Their toll free number is 877-773-3869. Perhaps you could contact them for more specific details. I can also confirm that the detox center post #1 mentioned does the same thing. However, since they are based in Europe (and if you live in the US), pursuing treatment through them may turn out to be more trouble than it's worth, at ...

I get my meds on the 30th day plan but my doctors wrote my refill script to fill on the 31st day and when the day falls on a Sunday my pharmacy is closed on Sunday. This is a pain in the ass. ## Have you considered switching to a different pharmacy that is open 7 days a week? My husband I both use a pharmacy at a local grocery store that has Sunday hours. The hours are limited, but it does enable people to pick up their prescriptions, if needed. Which pharmacy are you currently using? What medication has been prescribed. Generally, under DEA and FDA regulations, it is only controlled substances that can't be filled a day, or two early.

My 16 months baby has had diarrhea from 16th July to today's date. After eating his food 4 times daily the stool color is sometimes yellow greenish, sometimes brown with mucus. At night he is not sleeping properly and making some sounds and getting up. From the 16th as per the Dr I started z & d suspension but there has been no improvement. On the 20th again I went for a checkup and he prescribed bacillus clausii 2 times a day. After starting bacillus clausii erceflora he is passing yellow greenish stool. And here is his stool evaluation report: Mucus- positive++ Bacteria- present Pus cell-6/8 Apart from that everything is normal. Is this OK or should we consult a doctor? Please help.

I have been taking Linzess for over a month now, highest dose. Have had IBS my whole life. I drink water all day long. I am peeing about every hour! I still have 4-5 days without a bowel movement then constipation followed by diarrhea. When I am able to have a bowel movement for a few days in a row, I feel so much pressure in my abdomen, like I have gas or have to go to the bathroom but can not go. I am so much more uncomfortable than before I started taking linzess. Has anyone else experienced this. ## Hello, Cindy! How are you doing? I am sorry about what you've been going through, but no you are not the first person to experience these issues. The gas, and abdominal pressure, can be normal side effects of this medication, according to FDA reports. You may also continue to experie...

I started taking Coveram last December 2017 and after 1 week i developed cough which I find very disturbing. The effect of it was exemplary and just maintained my BP but the cough is really my concern. Just this March, my follow up check up, I talked to my Doctor and raised my concern regarding the cough. He changed my anti hypertensive medications to Twynsta. Until now my cough does not go away. What can be the possible reason for this? I am taking Vitamin C daily and maintained my hydration. Please help. ## Coeram contains Perindopril and Amlodipine, and Twynsta contains Telmisartan and Amlodipine, and according to NIH reports, the Amlodipine is notorious for causing a dry cough as a side effect. The problem is that once that cough starts, it usually doesn't go away, so my best gu...

Have been taking Multaq for six months now . It has not stopped my afib, but has kept it at a rate that I can deal with. My pulse does not get as high as it has in the past, sending me to the hospital .The episodes have not lasted as long as before the Multaq.! I also was taking Xarelto. Did not tolerate Pradaxa. Now after the second time on Zarelto I have again had blood in urine. After stopping the Zarelto , the blood in urine has ceased. ## The Xarelto contains the active ingredient Rivaroxaban, which is an anticoagulant that helps prevent blood clotting, so it does increase the risk of bleeding. Learn more Xarelto details here. So, that's likely why you had blood in your urine. It may just not be the right medication for you, since it could be that it's causing your blood to...

After the first 3 months it seemed to be starting to help clear the nail at the base. I was happy because this treatment was not causing me painful ingrown toenails like the Keridyn did. Unfortunately, 6 months into this treatment, the skin around my nails are now having massive irritation, redness, drying, cracking, peeling and bleeding. This happened to me when I used Keridyn after 8 months and I had to stop using it. I am so dissappointed, I'll probably have to stop this too, it's getting too painful. Some other site I just read said a girl used neem oil and it worked for her. Guess I'll have to try that next. I've tried everything over the counter with no luck. Others have said that the laser treatment only works temporarily and I'm not taking that pill that kill...

Hi! My son is 3 months old. He is suffering from cough for a week. His pedia prescribed Alnix 0.5ml 2 times a day. I accidentally gave him 3 times (6 hours interval). What will be the effect of that? Thank you. ## Hello, MommyK! How is your son? Did he suffer any ill effects? I really can't stress enough how important it is to seek medical attention immediately any time you feel that someone's life or health may be in danger. While there are those of us on these websites that are always happy to help, if we can, there is nothing we can do if someone needs life saving treatment.

Hi I was on purbac for a month for prevention of pnuemonia. During this time I had fever reoccurring. But most of the unpleasant side effect about this drug, is that I had my menses for the whole month. Is this normal? ## Hello, Bantu! How are you? Are you also on oral contraceptives? If so, antibiotics such as this one, can reduce their efficacy, which may result in spotting and bleeding, while you're taking it, as reported by the U.S. FDA. Other typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms.

Day 17 no oxy, detoxed without sub. Valium, clonidine , robaxin and a few others. When will I be normal again. I am good in the morning, by 1pm I am a jack ass and my legs hurt and everything pisses me off. can't crack a smile to save my life. ## So, you just stopped the Oxycodone, without tapering? That's pretty high of a dosage to do that with, even though you were only on it for four months. And to be honest, it may take 4 to 6 weeks, before you start to feel more normal and have less of those annoying symptoms. From my own experience stopping large doses of narcotics cold turkey after stopping pain management, I can tell you that it was about a month for the pain to ease up and about 6 to 8 weeks for the mental symptoms, such as irritability to ease off. Is it the only medic...

Can you use neomycinand polymyxin b sulfates and hydrocortisone otic suspension on an 8 months old ear ## Hello, Shae! How are you and your child? Please do not use anything on such a young child, without their doctor's approval. At that age, it is far too easy to overdose them, or possibly cause damage to their delicate ears and ear drums. It would be best for your child to take them to their pediatrician and have them prescribe the proper medication, if they have an ear infection. The FDA lists the typical side effects of these ear drops as possibly including dizziness, headache, ear stuffiness and drainage. Is there anything else I can help with?

After 10 months and 10 expensive bottles I still see no change in the 3 toes on each foot affected. Not at all pleased with the results so far and feel as if i have been ripped off by the drug manufacturer. At this point I wish I had spent the money on a cruise, but on second thought I would probably run into all the top brass of Valeant Pharmaceutical Co. taking expensive vacations also!

Over the past 15 years I've been on most all the anti-depressant medications on the market: effexor, celexa, paxil, cymbalta, wellbutrin, and prozac for a long time. I started with a new psychiatrist in January of this year and he started me on Viibryd (I'd been on 30mg prozac for the last ten years). He also put me on lamictal because, well, the more the merrier? Anyway, to make a long story short, I was doing pretty well on the Viibryd and Lamictal so I decided heck, I'll try and go off meds and see what happens. I titrated down over 3 months during this past summer and things went from bad to worse. Basically I became suicidally depressed so I quickly went back on Viibryd. I quickly felt less suicidal but haven't fully 'recovered.' For the past three months I...

I'm on Junel 21 and i've been using it for a month and a half now. Last month i had a regular period but this month i had it twice. I don't understand. Is it because of the pill? Is this normal? ## Yes, this is considered break-through bleeding and it can occur off and on for the first several months that you are taking birth control pills. It is due to the hormones in them and the way they effect your body. It should stop after your body adjusts to the pills. However, if it does not or you start bleeding heavily, then you should consult your doctor immediately. ## Ohhh ok so its all because my body try to adjust it, and i call my doctor and she tells me same thing you said... thanks for your reply.... ## I got my period twice in a month (on May 6th was my 1st period and on ...
