Worried I might get pregnant after removal of my implants
2 Replies RSS
Hi ladies... I got my implants removed about 2 weeks ago, and I'm on no contraception at the moment but my partner and I have tried to be careful since. But, we weren't just this one time, and now I'm worried I could get pregnant! My question is; can you get pregnant after having the implants removed, if your period hasn't returned yet? As I have not had one period since. I would appreciate any feedback given. Thanks very much ## It is hard to say, sometimes it takes a few months, before the body will return to normal cycles so you can get pregnant, but that isn't always the case. Have you had yourself checked for pregnancy to find out? ## It's been seven months after the removal of implant..my menstrual cycles are normall ..I want to fall pregnant but nothing is... ...

Sulfamethoxazole Tmp Ds My Dr gave me this when I am pregnant
2 Replies RSS
My Dr gave me Sulfemethoxazole DS by accident when I am 6 weeks Pregnant, What has it done to my Baby girl? Do I worry until she is born? ## Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim is an antibiotic, commonly prescribed under the brand name Bactrim and while it has been shown to carry some risk, when used during pregnancy, no controlled studies have been done to definitively prove exactly what those risks are. And yes, unfortunately, until the baby is born, there is really no way to know if any harm has been done. On thing you may want to do, however, is talk to your doctor to make sure you are taking a Folic Acid supplement. May pregnant women do not get enough in their diets and a lack of it has been known to cause birth defects. On top of that, the antibiotic has been known to prevent it f... ...

I started my first pack at the end of january. After about three weeks of taking the pill, I missed quite a few and decided to throw that pack out and start over. I did have intercourse without protection after i'd missed some pills and now I am more than two weeks past due for my period! I've taken several pregnancy tests and all say negative, so I wanted to know if missing a period is normal after stopping this pill? ## You may want to have a doctor do a blood test to be certain you aren't pregnant, since some of the over the counter tests don't detect very early pregnancies, however, yes it is perfectly normal to experience fluctuations in your period when taking any type of hormonal contraceptive. Some people may bleed more than usual or experience breakthrough bleed... ...

If I Do Not Start My Period By Sunday Should Still Take The Blue Pill Am Afraid May Be Pregnant
1 Reply RSS
I have accidentally skipped a few birth control pills these last few weeks due to a busy schedule, but I always take what I have missed and the pill for that day on the next day. Could I be pregnant? Also, should I take the next blue pill starting on my next packet if I do not get my period by then? ## Yes, it you missed pills, or took them late, then that does increase the risk of your being pregnant. Learn more oral contraceptive details here. The usual instructions are to continue taking them as directed and if you end up a week or more late for your menstrual cycle, then you should get a pregnancy. Unless your doctor has instructed you to do differently. In the future, I'd suggest putting a reminder in your phone, or leaving notes around to remind yourself to take them on time. ... ...

Cramping/bleeding two weeks after period

I have been on Lo Loestrin Fe for 3 years now and have only missed one or two pills ever, but not recently. I got my period when I was supposed to for the first time in months. It came 9/1-9/3. I had unusually bad cramps during my period but i assumed it was because i hadn't gotten it for a while. My boyfriend and i did have unprotected intercourse since my last period. On 9/14 i started getting period like cramps in the afternoon followed by slight bleeding which increased today 9/15. Is this just my hormones being weird or did i somehow get pregnant? ## Hello, Leah! How are you?
