Meclizine is effective in inhibiting the symptoms of motion sickness, such as nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. But I see nothing about this drug being used to manage inflammation or pain. It belongs to the drug class of anticholinergic antiemetics, and not pain relievers. I do find it odd that he or she would prescribe something for motion sickness when you have back pain. I can only wonder if someone else's prescription got mixed up with yours. Have you brought this up with your doctor yet?

I had been taking Soma 350 for years because I have six crushed vertebra and recently my doctor changed to Parafon Forte 500. So far it's not as effective as the Soma was so I'm asking anyone if Flexeril would be better choice than the Parafon Forte. Thanks. ## It's my experience that Flexeril is better than PF (that's such an old drug, didn't know they still made that?) but nothing beats Soma. I've heard that docs are trying to get patients off Soma's because - besides being such a great street drug - IT FREAKING WORKS! Nah, that last bit was my rant. Is a prescription required to use this tablet? I have lower back pain and was taking this tablet for the last 3 consecutive days. My level of pain has been reduced a lot. Are there any side effects associated with consuming this medication daily (without being under a doctor's supervision)? ## I'm sorry, I don't know if a prescription is required where you live. Most countries do require one, but not all. As to the side effects, there is always a risk of those, with any medication, whether you are, or aren't under a doctor's care. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications?

Trying to find out if this could be Meloxicam 15mg? ## An oblong yellow pill with 200 on one side is reportedly identified as Rezulin (troglitazone) 200mg, marketed for use in treating type-2 diabetes. Product Labeler: Parke-Davis National Drug Code: 00071-0352 Some FDA data shows that this medication was withdrawn from the market in March of 2000, yet additional pill information seems to be quite sparse. There may also be other (more recently manufactured) pills in existence that share a similar depiction, but this was all I could find.

white oblong with imprint m357 and a line on other side ## Hydrocodone 5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg. ## Hello, Just wanted to add a minor correction to the dosage strength listed in post #1. A white oblong pill marked M357 actually contains 5mg of Hydrocodone + "500mg" of Acetaminophen, made by Mallinckrodt. For verification, this particular tablet also carries a National Drug Code of 00406-0357. Having said that, I'm a little doubtful about whether this pill is still being made, considering that 325mgs of Acetaminophen is the new maximum dose that's allowed in prescriptions.
