I hate to be indelicate but I have noticed something strange since taking Eliquis. My urine and bowel movements smell different and I wondered if anyone else had noticed this. I would describe it as sort of a toasted oaty fragrance. I am not making this up or being weird. I am concerned and hope I am not along. ## Oh my goodness YES, it does have an odd smell. ## NIH.gov actually lists the following side effects associated with Eliquis (Apixaban): red, brown, or pink urine; red or black, tarry stools. However nothing in particular about its smell. Has anyone else experienced these odd colors in their urine/stool or think that this may be attributing to the different smell in some way? In either case I would suspect it's more than likely Eliquis that's causing the problem if you...

I have been taking 10 mg/day of Lisinopril for 3 months and have developed a tightening in the chest and flu like symptoms. Within the past 3 weeks I have felt progressively worse and would like to stop. Is it ok to just quit or must I wean myself off? ## Lisinopril is used to help control high blood pressure. That said, most of these medications can cause dangerous rebound effects if you have been on them for a period of time and abruptly stop taking them, this can include increased blood pressure and heart rate, with the risk of heart attack and stroke. The side effects that you are experiencing are normal for this class of medications, you may also experience headache and dizziness. If it is getting worse, however, and not tapering off, you should speak to your doctor immediately abo...

I suffer from anxiety and I can't find a doctor around here that will prescribe me valium. My doctor in Chicago has me on valium and ativan, but I now live in Brandon fl & he can't write scrips for me anymore. So, my anxiety is much worse & I'm having a hard time leaving the house. ...it's awful! ## What approach have you been using, when seeing a new doctor? If you are calling and asking them about prescribing it, then in most cases, they will assume you're a drug seeker, since it is controlled substance, and will just tell you no. The proper way to find out is by setting up an actual appointment, make sure they receive a full copy of your recent medical records, then go to the appointment, and discuss your options there, in person. However, I do have to tel...

I've been on nortriptaline for 4 years, mainly for nerve irritation after an op. I had another op to put the problem right but continued with N because it helped my mood and pelvic pain. Just lately the pain has returned. my pharmacist has changed brands but tells me there isn't any way the tablet could cause this problem because the active ingredient is exactly the same. Could my discomfort returning and a change of brand be just coincidence ? ## I just had exactly the same thing happen. I was on Nortryptyline for about year and it worked great. Switched pharmacies, got a new brand (Teva) made in Eastern Europe, and now the pain has come roaring back. When I switch back to the old the pain subsides. The Teva brand also causes bad headaches and nausea. There is no effing way thi...

Started 300 Clindamycin Friday after 2 pills my chest n neck were beet red. I tried to take again the next day the same thing happened. My whole neck n throat Red n Burning. Dr gave this medicine to me because I got a tattoo and all red n itchy after 8 days. My breathing was being affected. I stopped after 4 (300mg) think it's a reaction. TY ## Have you consulted your doctor? While some side effects can be normal, such as those listed by the FDA which may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea, there is a chance you are allergic to this medication, and may need to try a different antibiotic. Ref: Clindamycin Information How is your tattoo healing?

A half pill broke straight down center was found by grandson, he gave to me, not sure if it's his grandfather, or even parents. But it has nothing on one side, large ,white scored straight and can only make out above the score line a 9 as last number, WHAT if he had taken???? ## Also had a V on bottom, don't want to accuse family ,but this could of been dangerous, or happen again, thanks from a concerned gram" ## Wow! I am so very glad that he gave it to you, and didn't ingest it. Unfortunately, without having the full imprint, I cannot positively identify this tablet for you. My best suggestion is that you show the piece of tablet to the other adults in his life, tell them what happened, how dangerous it could be, and ask them to please be more careful from now on. Once upon a time, Percocet had twice the amount of acetaminophen in it as well as a healthy dose of caffeine. Understandably the amount of acetaminophen had been cut in half to spare us liver damage. The missing caffine I don't quite understand. I do find that a couple of cups of coffee does help. NEVER EVER take Tylenol or other acetaminophen with narcotic pain meds. But I believe that some of the reasons they seem weaker now are because of the missing or diminished ingredients. Along with the fact that a tolerance builds so quickly to these pain medications that in a week they seem to be doing less than they did before. Keep this in mind. Having said that, I will add that I have had my prescription filled at Walmart in the past. NEVER AGAIN. This goes for any prescription. I had h...

I've recently been put on a COPD puffer called Trimbow. Has anyone been on this med? ## Hi. I have COPD and recently after a stay in the hospital for a lung infection, the meds I was taking were changed. I am now on Trimbow 100/6/10. Has anyone heard of any side effects from this med? It's a corticosteroid and I've noticed swelling on my left ankle which seems to have caused a lack of movement within the left ankle. I'm 70 yrs old. Maybe the swelling is just an aging thing? Any info is appreciated. ## Has anybody else been on the Trimbow inhaler 2x a day? I'm not sure if it works for me. ## Same here was prescribed it on Thursday. Taken 2 puffs in morning and 2 at night. Iam still wheezing. Ask doctor if my copd was getting worse all he said was yes .mmm ## Hi keep t...

Hi there. I recently got my Alprazolam 1 mg refill from the pharmacy. Has anybody tried these alpz-1 tablets by neuro vision? They are small, white and round. Blank on one side, and just a single score on the other. ## Hello Buddy, Here is a link to a different chat where people discuss this pill. The discussion regarding them starts at response 13 - Christy. [1] Alprazolam almee 2 India I hope this helps. ## Were they decent quality? ## I got some too. I wondered how they work for you? I can’t tell I have taken Benzodiazepines so long now since Gulf War. ## I've tried them... they're crumbly, but work and taste like alprazolam ## They seem crumbly and low quality.. don't know if I can really trust them ## They’re made in India and were shipped from the UK. I refilled my script of diazepam and received Neuro Vision 10mg Diazepam. They're an Indian brand, white tablets (which is normal for India) and they also have Dizpam - 10 on packet. I've had a couple and they taste bitter, not like the bitter sweet taste of valium. I felt them but can't put my finger on if they're diazepam or not, they are definitely a benzo though! Has anyone else ever had these? If so I'd value your honest feedback/ thoughts. ## I have got them and sent them off to b tested and they are Diaz, not sure on dose though, they deffo do the job ## I have also received Dizpam-10. It does not work as well as actual Valium 10mg. I get very high strung at times and need to take a benzo, but Valium 10mg works better than Dizpam 10mg. ## What pharmacy do you ...

I've been on hydrocodone and morphine ER for many years. Last year I got up off of the morphine and was just taking hydrocodone. Now I have a scheduled surgery coming up on my back. My pain medication is not enough and I have seven days till I get my refill. I thought maybe I could resume my morphine ER, one in the morning and one at night, as I didn't finish that prescription when I stopped taking them. Will that be OK? ## What has your doctor advised? It is very important to take only medications that your doctor approves, especially before surgery. The FDA warns that opioids carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation. and dry mouth. I have very bad anxiety and panic attacks xanax seem to be the only thing to help I need a prescription. .please help! I live in monroe la. ## Please see a doctor who can make the decision as to what medicine would be appropriate for you. You can mention that Xanax might work, hopefully you've had a prescription for them. A Doctor will frown on giving you medicine that you have used illegally in the past. ## What other medications have you tried? What has your doctor advised? The FDA warns that Xanax carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability, and mood changes. My mother had multiple pulmonary emblisions in both lungs, age 77. She takes Eliquis 5mg twice a day, which I believe should always be written "Take 1 tablet every 12 hours". Her doctor has her go off of it for 2 days prior to get blood tests, every 6 months I've read stopping it suddenly can cause a stroke..WHY is the doctor insisting on this? ## The blood work is normal, due to the risk to your kidneys, someone taking Eliquis should have their levels checked at least once a year, having her stop it for two days, before, may also be due to a possible bleeding issue, though only her doctor can answer that question for sure. Eliquis may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and easy bruising. Ref: Eliquis Information Is she also on other medications?

I am down to 25 mgs of methadone from 120. If I go down 5 mgs a month, at what point could I convert to something else that would not be as hard to withdraw from and what should it be? I understand subutex is just as difficult to come off of. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ## Well, Methadone is actually the hardest to get off of, that's why most people who start it never fully become drug free, they end up needing a lifetime maintenance dose of the Methadone. Subutex/Suboxone, however, do usually allow people to become drug free, by slowly tapering off of it. The FDA warns that both these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. This is my 3rd day on Contrave (1 pill in the morning). First day i felt a little woozy, second day i felt great. Today, after having lunch, I felt a sudden wave of dizziness to the point that I felt I had difficulty walking in a straight line. A couple of hours later it somewhat subsided, however, after I ate a little packet of almonds, the dizziness started again. Anyone else has experienced this? Does it go away with time? Thanks! ## It is always best to check with your doctor to be sure nothing else is going on, but the FDA does warn that nausea, and dizziness are the most common side effects of Contrave, along with headache, and mood changes. Ref: Contrave Information How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications?

I started a suboxone program 6 weeks ago. My level dose is 8mg films/tid. I also take adderall ir 15mg/tid (that was prescribed by my psychiatrist, years ago). My sub dr. wants me to get off the adderall & I agree. So he’s started me on bupropion xl/150mg; which, I started today. Took it this morning, along with all my other meds. I was told the bupropion xl works similar to adderall? As far as increasing dopamine receptors, with a slight stimulant & eventually help the brain function without using such harmful & addictive medication. As I said, I started today & I feel like I’ve been given a sedative! I can't keep my eyes open! It’s doing the opposite! My questions: Has anyone taken this combo before? Does it work? I need to know why I'm so tir...

Can I take this with a blood thinner ## Hello, Tracey! How are you? Which blood thinner? I need to know the specific one, in order to check for any problems or possible interactions for you. Galenika bensedin is a very high quality pharmaceutical grade diazepam. One of the best brands available are bensedin 10mg x15 tabs in a blister pack of 30x 10mg diazepam to a box. I also use Galenika ksalol/alprazolam 1mg x15 tabs a blister pack, 30x1mg tabs a box. It's also the best Xanax available hands down. It is a Serbian pharmaceutical company and it's up there with Bayer. I wish you could put pictures up so I could show you all the Galenika diazepam and alprazolam worth getting. ## Bensedin are currently being counterfeited and sold in the uk. Like all counterfeits some are good, indeed very, and some not so good, indeed bad and that's within the same strip. Dark spots on face and one on kneck. My doctor said it looks like spots from a allergic reaction to something. Every once in a while if I eat something, my bottom lip starts to swell then hours later, the dark spots start to itch and if I scratch, form redness around the spot. ## The best suggestion I can make is that you consult an allergist/immunologist, or a dermatologist to get a proper diagnosis, and discover possible treatment options. You can learn more about allergies here. How long has this been going? How many spots are there?
