I have been on Victoza but my new Endocrinologist is wanting me to switch to Ozempic. However, I have diabetic retinopathy and one of the side effects listed for Ozempic is possible worsening of that condition. Anyhow, I am just wondering if anyone else has switched from Victoza to Ozempic and had any results to share? Also, if anyone knows any updates on the correlation between Ozempic and diabetic retinopathy, I'd be really eager to hear them. Thanks!

This is my 4th month on Mounjaro and my 1st month on the 7.5 mg. My A1C is 5.7, down from 10. It is working great but the side effects from the 7.5 mg are rough. Extreme nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. My doctor wants me to increase to 10 mg but I can barely handle the 7.5 mg. Has anyone else experienced these side effects and do they eventually go away? ## I am just ending the 7.5mg injections as well and the side effects (nausea, vomiting, and extreme diarrhea) have me basically incapacitated! I’m down only 14 lbs (thought I would have been down more by now). I don’t think I can continue with a higher dosage. ## This is my first month (2nd week) taking 5mg of Mounjaro. Still nauseous on day 4, but better than days 1-3. My main concern is some itching in my mouth. No swellin...

is it law that prescriptions be dated for one year from of filling or less expiration if actual date so states or can actual manufacturer dates be used ## HI, Ama! How are you? The expiration date is actually based on test results that show how long a medication remains fully effective once it has been exposed to the elements that can cause degradation, such as heat, light and moisture. Thus, a medication that is still sealed in the original container from the manufacturer may not expire for several years, but once that container has been opened, the shelf life is greatly shortened. So, it is absolutely necessary for the date on the bottle you receive from your pharmacy to be different from the manufacturers date on the original container. Is there anything else I can help with? ## expi...

I am a 100% disabled veteran and have been on pain management for about 13 years. (80MG METHADONE daily... yes for pain, 6mg HYDROMORPHONE daily for break-through pain, 1.5 mg day CLONAZAPAM as sleep aid/anxiety and 1200 mg day GABAPENTIN for servered nerves,. I have been ADHD since childhood and none of the meds I am taking helps with the inability to function as a cognitive goal achieving, motivated person. I am habituated to my Narcs and am not affected by the typical side effects, nor do I experience euphoria, and I do use my meds as prescribed. My V.A. Doctor has referred me to mental health for evaluation and perhaps an ADDERALL prescription. I AM CONCERNED about the Adderall affecting the effectiveness of my Opiates to work as well as they still do for pain relief. Will the Narco...

Question about secret medication limits: So what was happening years ago is that I’d have my Xanax and Adderall (along with my Subutex) sent to one pharmacy. Then inevitably, at the 5 month mark, that pharmacy would “somehow” not be able to order me Greenstone 2mg Alprazolam anymore. Does anyone know if this is because of the opioid limitation policy? I started picking up my Adderall from one CVS and my other meds from the other, which worked fine for about 2 years, but last time there was an issue and I had to have them filled all at the same place, which now, wouldn’t you know, didn’t have full quantity of Xanax in when it had been ordered. I’m wondering if I should stick to having the Xanax and Adderall filled at a different CVS, or from anyone who...

It’s a great medication. Thus far I have lost 20 pounds with ease along with my normal cardio routine; I’m experiencing the possible non life threatening side effects. However there is a side effect that is not listed which I’m experiencing since starting the dosage regimen to 10mg: erectile dysfunction. 2 other men I met via pharmacy told me that they are also affected & ED medication does not have any effect. We all know that it’s a 1x per week dosage so I put it through the test I had gone 9 days without the injection & I started to feel my ability returning. Needless to say the medication starts to weaken in your metabolism by the 10th day I was functioning normal again, however I would not recommend missing a dosage date. I’m back on my dosage ...

I have been on subutex for 9 months now. But i have a very big problem next month k mart pharmacy will no longer carry subutex. I live in the tri cities in tn. I have called about 35 pharmacies around they either do not take new people getting subutex or do not carry it at all. I have no insurance i found 1 that cost 340 which is way more than the 215 i paid at k mart. Also some pharmacies I know only carry the small ones which to me do not work as good as the bigger ones. Huge difference. I go back on the 8th next month, so if there is anyone that knows of a good pharmacy in my area your help would be greatly appreciated. ## Hello, Scott! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. However, if you've called the pharmacies, then you've likely not actually rec...

I took a disa drug screen and I have to call in the morning. There was a problem, and the only thing I take is suboxone. ## No judgement here but if you can show them that you have a script for suboxone then you'll be totally fine. I assume by your concern that you don't have one? Like I said, no judgement, just trying to get more info for your question. ## I have looked everywhere for an answer to this and have found very little. Did you ever find out if the suboxone showed on the drug screen for disa/if they specifically test for it?

Small white round pill. One side blank. Other side has score in middle. On one side is a symbol that looks like a C with a line in the middle (more or less looks like a capital E) and other side of score has 5 imprinted on it. What is this? I'm being told it's a 5mg oxycodone but I cannot find on the internet. ## This tablet contains 5mgs of Oxycodone (NDC 42806-005). Inactive Ingredients: - Lactose Monohydrate - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Starch, Corn - Silicon Dioxide - Magnesium Stearate Ref: DailyMed

I have permanent nerve damage in my right leg. The government seem hell bent on outlawing it. Could one of the drug companies help with cost. I'm on social security and can't afford to pay for it. My Dr. is happy to write a prescription. I take 30 mg.s daily. ## Since it is available as a generic, there are currently no programs offering assistance with Roxicodone. To get a lower price, you can compare prices from your local pharmacies, or use a discount card, such as GoodRx. The FDA warns that Oxycodone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Ref: Oxycodone Information Do you have insurance?

Mine is pretty much a two-part question I was locked into a mom-and-pop pharmacy for over 4 years when suddenly they told me they can't fill my Roxicodone anymore because they don't get paid enough from my insurance company which has been the same all along so I got lucky and filled it at a Walgreens which just closed I was told my records would be sent to another Walgreens and I have been going from Walgreens to Walgreens to Walgreens and they are out of stock everywhere I'm in severe pain and I just don't know what to do does anybody have any ideas and does anybody know if a pharmacy can just stop like that and I also know for a fact that a person I referred there with the same insurance as mine is still filling them at that Pharmacy ## Yes, the pharmacy can do that, n...

TL;DR - how do you work around "no narcotics allowed" medical evaluations? Hi, I'm supposed to be going for a battery of check ups next week at the Mayo GI clinic for chronic GI pain (20+ years). However I've just been told I cannot be on any narcotic when they do the diagnostics. I understand why that is but that's not the issue. I asked how other pain patients have worked around this strict limitation and she just kept repeating (like a robot) "you aren't a patient, I'm not allowed to give advice". No matter how I tried to frame the question, she refused to advise. FFS. So, how the hell do I do that? I'm terrified of being off oxy for any period. Also my pain doc, whilst "flexible" and open to suggestion, doesn't inspire confidence w...

I'm just not sure what is going on...I've been on Aggrenox for several weeks, at first I just had a mild headache for a few days and that's about it...and then I came down with a cold & running nose with body aches....it's about 5 days later and I'm still having a sick-like flu feeling...I'm trying to figure out whether it's the Aggrenox or if I'm still infected with the flu virus...all my family at present has the flu... ## It is hard to say, because Aggrenox has been known to cause upper respiratory tract infections, as a side effect in some people that take it, along with coughing, nausea, headache, and dizziness. So, it could be the medication, illness, or even a combination of both. How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change? Have you co...

Can I take these two medicines together? I normally take Sumatriptan for migraines. I fell on the ice and hurt my shoulder and the Orthopedic has me taken 1 Meloxicam a day. I have a bad migraine and need to know if I can take a Sumatriptan. ## While I haven't come across any drug interactions or contraindications suggesting that it's unsafe to take the two together, I think it would still be wise to consult your prescribing doctor just to be on the safe. That way they can cross-check for other determining factors as well based on your medical records. You can also read more about each medication in the links below: [1] Meloxicam [2] Sumatriptan Hope this helps!

I went to see my doctor this week and he told me that the FDA and the DEA had passed a new law for prescribing Subutex. As of July 1st 2015 Subutex can only be given to pregnant woman or to someone with documentation saying they can't take Suboxone. If you don't have that you will be put on Suboxone. ## They Are Both the same thing. Better yet, stop doing narcotics, get off opiates completely. Do you focus on school and work as much as you do opiates being controlled By the DEA??? ## Jim, not that it's any of your business, but yes I do focus on my career now that I'm off the opiates and taking subutex. I received my B.S. in molecular biology and am currently completely my 2nd year of medical school. So now that you know a little about me, what about you? Since I'm s...

I use these and they work great. I was on the Roxanna Pharma ones that were circular in size and these orange ones work way better. Wish I had been on them from the start. ## I just got those oblong orange ones today with Half moon - bottle says it's Subutex. Has anyone had these? Are they better than the white ones? I don't know, do I take them the same? ## Are these new orange subutex time released? ## Can you please post a picture if you can. I live in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia. Diagnosed suffering from Degenerative Disc Disease, with Cervical Radiculopathy (one bulging disc) and Lumbar Radiculopathy (two bulging discs). These spinal problems are diagnosed by three (3) recent CAT Scans, with radiologist analyses. And yes, I have ALL of the CAT Scan CDs, and radiologist reports. I went to Frank Howard Bynes, M.D., a retired trauma surgeon, and practicing internal medicine M.D., here in Savannah, Ga, for help with severe pain control. I was written valid prescriptions for: Roxicodone 30 mg; Dilaudid 8 mg; Xanax 2 mg; Fentanyl 100mcg/hr transdermal patch; Soma 350 mg; Neurontin 800 mg. ALL, YES ALL local pharmacies, will NOT honor ANY of these prescriptions. I was a previous patient of David M. Nelson, M.D. here in Sava...

Just learned that the chronic cough I've had for two years might be caused by this med. What would be the alternative Rx? ## Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Lisinopril. I personally used to have severe hypertension for a number of years, but was able to control it by controlling more of my eating habits and exercising. What works for me may not work for everyone, but my initial advice is to look into natural ways (before prescription alternatives) such as: Low/no sodium foods to help reduce inflammation and water retention, supplementation of garlic, as well as having a diet that is rich in potassium and magnesium. Other dietary and non dietary options for lowering blood pressure can include (but are not limited to): L-Theanine Magnesium Glycinate Coenzyme Q10 Garlic Ha...

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has any information or experience with the Suboxone implant and if so, would you please share any & all information with me as I am extremely interested in possibly having one implanted in my arm. If I could possibly have one implanted, seems it would be very convenient and eliminate several issues associated with simply being a Suboxone patient. Thanks in advance for any information given. ## The implant Probuphine contained Buprenorphine, but not Naloxone, so it was equivalent to Subutex, not Suboxone, and it was removed from the market in 2020. The FDA warns that Buprenorphine carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and constipaton. I have a generic low dose Aspirin bottle containing small pinkish/peach coated pills with L marked on one side & no score. Double checking what they are before use. I lost my code book I keep to deter potential theft. I disguise for a reason. ## That does meet the description of an 81mg, aka low dose, Aspirin tablet. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Aspirin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. Ref: Aspirin Information However, I would suggest double checking their identification, before taking any. I try to help, if I can, but I am not there to physically see, and identify the tablets you have, and I am not a medical professional. Your pharmacist may be able to help. Are you on any other medications?
