Gablofen Overview

Baclofen, sold under the brand name Lioresal among others, is a central nervous system depressant used as a skeletal muscle relaxant. It is primarily used to treat spasticity. It is also used in topical creams to help with pain.[1] It is a GABA receptor agonist, specifically of the GABAB receptors.[2][3] Its beneficial effects in spasticity result from actions at spinal and supraspinal sites. my grand-daughters 6 yrs old and has a form of CP.doctors want her to do 28 injections in her legs every 6 months.she is not in pain but her muscles do get tight since she doesnt walk. please help us.the injections are straight into the hamstring causing it to be extremely painful.we dont think that she needs them right now considering how painful they are. ## Gablofen contains the active ingredient Baclofen, which is used to treat muscle spasticity.
