Why is metabolic methadone showing up in drug screen and I don't take

Can you privide any other details? Do you mean you don't take it on a regular basis? Do you take any other drugs? What kind of test is it? Strip test, 10 panel, etc....It's better to provide more information.

I'm going through the same situation & cannot find much help on the matter?? I get a urine test monthly from my Specialist doctor & this month the test showed positive for Methadone! I have never even taken Methadone in my entire life! This is really scaring me to think that something I've not put in my system is showing up & my doctor is questioning me as well. The only thing I've found online is that some people are saying that the OTC allergy medicine, Benadryl can cause a False/Positive for methadone in a urine drug screen. And I do take Benadryl several times a week. I'm looking for actual documentation from a healthcare site, provider, or urine test manufacture lab that's posted online to share with my specialist. I will feel silly walking in with just a bunch of pages of random online "chats" that state this & not some concrete evidence.

I recently took a drug test for the courts yesterday. I got a call today from the lab saying I showed positive for methadone. I do not take methadone. There's no way that should of tested positive. I just read a post saying Benadryl shows a positive test on urine screen. The night before the test i took Benadryl for my sinuses.how could that be. Are the test just not accurate

B- you got someone elses results
C- your taking methadone

Not true, I know people lie, but I am going through the same thing, I am livid about a false positive for something I am not taking. I demanded they take blood. Waiting for results. Something or a mix of something with something else is causing false positive for methadone. I told them take blood, saliva, hair anything. I am very upset!

Lax quality control on outsourced pharmaceutical contracts in India and other non authority over-site places. it's been in the news often that the FDA here has, 'chastised",(I guess that's all they can do)India for incidents from the lack of educated, safe, well trained people that are directly involved with manufacturing. simply not washing your hands before a new batch of some other drug can contaminate. Plus the quality controls are not well enough established in testing places in the USA. People will vehemently deny this but they are so, so wrong. Think, before you take that pill. Be sure its' exactly the same dimensions, color and weight. Any variation of the same brand is suspect unless some reason has been reported.
