Riley, I'm sorry for what you are going thru, as well. But I did read that one day when I was in their drive-thru.. I was on the phone all day yesterday with my insurance company.. Made a complaint.. But we all have to go to the FDA's website to file a formal complaint.. I talked to a person in the FDA that is what he told me.. The more people who complain with the FDA the better.. I also went back to my Dr. Got a new script.. I'm waiting for a approval today from my insurance co... Otherwise, I would have had to wait until next visit.. I'm goin to get the name brand.. Goin make sure that Actavis is not the mfg... The only way we could all win this war is FDA... Cause I did some research.. & Watson acquired Actavis.. It's a billion dollar industry..,the pharmaceutical company's are the one who created this problem for all of us.. So let's band together... & report.. & remember before filling a script.. To ask first who the MFG. Is.. Good Luck.. Will be praying that it gets resolved.. FDA ... Report , Report, report...

Ana, Thank-you, I have submitted a formal complaint with the FDA. I also hope Sunni does as well from reading her reaction to this awful Med. I am wondering - can we ask pharmacy to order name brands or a certain brand for us, or do we just have to take what they have? My pharmacy is only pharmacy around here that Does Not Carry the Actavis Brand, but I am afraid they may start as pharmacist told me they have NO Control over what Brand they get??? I would think they would have Brand Name there anyway, but for now I am good, until next month and we will see what happens. Its terribly hard to get this med as it is, a lot of times my pharmacy is out & I have to wait till they get new stock, its ridiculous. I am thinking a lot of people are now going to my pharmacy so they don't have to get the Actavis brand. Thanks for the well wishes and lets pray people file formal complaints with the FDA regarding their experience with this med.

Riley.. I'm thinking we should report this to the news media... Imagine that are elderly.. & people who don't go on the internet.. That don't know what's going on.. At this point..I myself am afraid.. Of what is going to happen.. If Actavis takes over every pharmacy..go on Actavis website.. Cause I seen.. Other names that they(Actavis) are affiliated with.. Also this might be a bad batch.. That they don't even know about themselves.. I'm just thinking of different scenes that could be happening... I'm goin back to my PM Dr. Tomorrow... I'm already feeling druggy sick.. & I'm on Fentanyl as well... I live in Central Fl... I'm goin to try the media..hopefully the more people that see this in the news.. Will come forward.. & we can all get down to the bottom of what's really going on.. Again, God Bless... Talk to u soon..I don't know how we can do this.. But would love to talk thru phone or personal text.. Up to you... Take care.. & again Good Luck

I'm not sure if any of u guys have a krogers store in your area or not it's a grocery store with a pharmacy. My grandfather works there as a pharmacists and they do not carry the actavis generic there at all. He told me they are only contracted with endo and amneal pharmactual and that is the only brand/generic that they carry on the Percocet 10/325. Hope this helps someone.

I was also getting the "Watson" brand oxycodone which worked fine for me. In Jan 2014 is when I got my first brand of the "Actavis" Oxycodone. It is listed as (Oxycodone-Acetaminophen 10-325) and say command brand " Percocet, Tylox" under the name on the bottle. I started having issue's " Side Effects" with the brand by Actavis. My blood pressure has been a problem and very irregular since 2009. It jumps up real high and then out of the blue it drops too low. As I am on blood pressure pills to control my BP. When I started the Actavis brand I noticed " Consider I am taking BP pills everyday my blood pressure got extremely high like 184/109, I got chest pain, numbness in left arm w/pain, pain in left leg, I also got interjection, a funny taste in mouth-with a warm feeling sensation, it did not cure the pain I decided to look online about the new Actavis pills A333. I then seen all the complaints. I stopped taking them and I was back to Tears every morning, hardly about to get out of bed, carrying a heating pad around, not being able to focus on daily living due to the unbearable pain I was in. It's was like "Life was starting to look up, I was able to do things once again, then Actavis brand came along and I am back to square 1, I am more- less back in bed sleep so I don't feel the pain. After researching the Actavis brand Oxycodone- I noticed If you don't break them or chew them, Just take them whole- I don't get the interjection but it still does not help for the pain I am in. I looked real hard on the internet for information about the Actavis all I could find was it has the same ingredient as the "Watson Brand" except for 1 is different. I then thought it was a placebo pill, I then decided to look up the actual chemical compound. Low and behold now I understand why the Actavis brand does not work as well. Even though the Active ingredients are closely to Watson Brand the chemical compound show's the pill A333 to be more like a Lori-tab or Hydrocodone effect once it starts breaking down in the body. So there is the answer. It has less of the Active Oxycodone but it has the effects of a hydrocodone (As in tylox) So it is not a true Percocet it is more of the Lori-tab type. Here is the chemical that you should research instead of the name. If you look up the Actavis Brand with the NDC number 00228-2983-11 it gives you the Name Oxycodone HCI but look at the chemical/Chemistry of of it. C18H21NO4 HCI then look at the different way it works. Since it does not work for pain like a true Percocet but does relieve some pain then look at the Tylox effect information. Maybe this will help you understand why it is not working like the "WATSON BRAND" Oxycodone. Also I believe it is a control -Time release pill as well.

ANA, I am literally afraid as well of this med, I am afraid of long term effects this med may cause, not saying it will or I have heard it can, but I don't think they really know enough about this cheap junk generic med they put out on the market. They could not of studied this med for too long or on a different variety of people as there are far too many people having terrible side effects and these are only the ones we have heard of, who knows how many others there are out there like you said without internet and the elderly who have a tendency not to report issues cause the dr rx this med & pharm gave it to them! I too was thinking it could of been a different lot #, idk anything about Lots, how they are distributed, but I think its the Med in general! I believe the media should know as well. Let me know if u reported. Idk how we could talk personally actually, be interesting to keep in touch regarding this horrid issue we have had. Please stay in touch & Take care

Riley, I just called Walgreens corporate.. To put a complaint.. The cust. serv. rep... Said .. That Walgreens has got many calls re: Actavis.. OxyCodone... She also said.. All the mfg's are getting rid of the OxyCodone period.. Because of the abuse with these pills.. She also said.. That is why.. There not as strong as they used to be... Wow!!! Walgreens knew... I told her... & did not inform the consumers!.. She also said... To talk to my PM Dr. To get an alternative... Cause in time.. We r all goin to suffer.. All of us that take these meds to function in Life... So mad!!! Can't believe this.. & I'm sick of their I'm sorry Mam... Pass this on... God be with us all

Ana, I wonder if she really knows what she is talking about? I mean, this med makes Huge bucks for these Drug Manufacturers, but with this Actavis med on the market, maybe this is their way of getting rid of all the abuse, Take this Med & you will get Sick? It does make sense to take the Oxycodone off market because of the all the abusers, deaths & my PM dr told me they are putting Vicoden(hydrocodone) in the same class as the Oxy slowly, that med will not be able to be cld in to pharmacy soon & it used to be you could get both Oxycodone & hydrocodone filled at same time, you cannot do that anymore, Pharmacies will not fill both. I had to get both scripts as most of the time the pharmacies were out of my regular Oxycodone, so I would get the hydrocodone filled, when my regular med came in - they started to not fill it for me because I had gotten the hydrocodone. I used to take just 1 oxy a day and have the vicoden for breakthrough pain, Not anymore, pain of course changed, & my PM dr would not give me 2 scripts anyway, so I take 4 a day & again my pain is not managed after same treatment plan for almost 3 yrs, so I have to go on different treatment plan which I look forward to as there are somedays I cannot get out of bed due to pain & from sounds of it, new treatment plan is a must if they do away with the Oxycodone all together. I just cannot see them totally getting away with that though, so many patients function on that med, it does Help patients with pain, people are going to suffer tremendously & then start abusing another pain med, then what are they going to take that off market as well? The Pill Mill drs are mostly to blame, but so are some pharmacies Walgreens & CVS for dispensing this med to known abusers & dispensing the med that are written by known & black listed Pill Mills Drs. That was on the news, both Pharm got sued for Millions & Millions, one of the Walgreens that got sued is in my town! I am really concerned about this now.I am going to research this, if u find out more, let me know & I will with you. Take Care & lets pray for some alternative

As I had stated in my earlier post that my grandfather is a pharmacists at krogers pharmacy. I just talked to him about what Ana had stated about what Walgreens told her about oxycodone being taken off the market. Whoever you spoke to at Walgreens Ana told you 10000000% wrong. This medication is not being discontinued what so ever. I'm thinking the rep at Walgreens corporate was just telling you that maybe to hurry you off the phone or they just had no clue as to what they were speaking about. I'm sorry that rep told you that but they told you very very incorrectly. I would file a complaint against the rep from Walgreens that misinformed you. But that's just my thoughts on the matter. I was also at Walgreens today and I didn't see any of the signs that other posters have mentioned... can someone please explain/tell me what they said? Thanks

Ana I talked to my grandfather which I posted below he is a pharmacists and he told me that the rep at Walgreens didn't give you the correct information. Oxycodone is not being discontinued at all. He stated the rep must of not knew what they were talking about or in a hurry to get you off the phone. He said you can call all the manufactors of oxycodone and they will tell you the same thing.

Really, Thanks for sharing this info. I know our Walgreens around here are notorious for not knowing what they are talking about & very snotty to say the least! Well I should say 2 stores in particular around my area are like this. One of these stores Pick & Choose who they fill meds for as well. I happened to be standing in line at this store waiting my turn & heard whole conversation, when a lady 2 spots in front of me was told they were out of her pain med didn't know when they would have it etc:, this lady said how can this be, I come here monthly, you told me if I transferred all meds here, I would never have a problem, I need my meds for my cancer, they said we don't have it, then walked away from her. Then someone needing one of the same pain meds gives person script, they chit chat, call each other by name & gets script filled on the spot! Its happened more than once, people complain and manager does nothing. After seeing this first hand how Walgreens treated this woman, I transferred my meds to another pharmacy. Anyway, thanks for the info.

I am confused I thought Actavis acquired Watson and that is why we can't get anymore Watson is that correct? I thought Watson was bought out by Actavis not the other way around.

To Everyone: I received another letter from Actavis, the first one was very apologetic, this one however states: My complaint in conclusion There Are NO Assignable cause determined for the subject complaint! I want to mention that they have my Complaint Narrative as Patient Experienced drug ineffectiveness, which is one of them but NOT the MAIN One of my complaint, The Main one was Medication Poisoning, Vomiting, Upper GI Problems, then ineffectiveness however I could keep only keep down for maybe 30 minutes. Anyway, they called me 3 times and wanted Lot # for the med I received, I did not have it as I no longer had med. This letter states they took a sample of the lot # I received, analyzed it and the results met all required specifications, the batch records did not reveal anything negative, the finished product met all specifications in all trials during manufacturing! Therefore No reason for my complaint. Then there are the usual we do all required diagnostics etc before any of our products are released, all is FDA approved. They did not have my lot # before but now they received it? Maybe true, idk, But I do know my complaint was medication poisoning, upper gi problems & this is all back up from Hospital records. Actavis is totally in my opinion Dismissing my complaint and leaving it at that! I simply cannot understand that with all the problems people are having with this particular A333 pill that Actavis will continue to dispense this med or the FDA would allow it, its Cheap, it causes a lot of issues for people & there is a problem with it, I know first hand there is! I guess in reality the main thing is This makes Actavis/Watson a lot of money dispensing this cheap generic so called pain med & they don't care about the side effects people are having. They are not going to admit there is an issue with it, Its all about the Money!. This second letter doesn't even say we are sorry this happened to you! Anyway, Just thought I would bring this to everyone's attention if you filed a complaint with Actavis. I realize everyone's system is different & not everyone has had a problem with this med, But from what I see & heard, There Are More people who have had Issues then Not. Good Luck to everyone. I hope no one has to suffer what I went thru with this med.

Ana & to Everyone, I received 2nd letter from Actavis re: my complaint, First letter was apologetic, this letter Not - They stated they tested my lot # (however they cld me 3x asking for my lot # and I did not have it) & found No reason my complaints. All meds in this lot met all specified requirements, therefore No determined cause for subjects complaint! They are dismissing my complaint in my opinion & did not even have my complaint narrative correct, they had it as drug ineffectiveness, when infact it was medication poisoning, sever vomiting, upper Gi problems, ineffectiveness was the last thing on my complaint as I could only keep down the med for 30 minutes at the most, in which it did not help. Anyway, so much for the complaints!!

I'm so sorry... I also called the corporate # of Walgreens to tell them of my complaint.. The cust. Serv. Rep.. Said that Actavis was making the medication less stronger & they were goin get rid of the OxyCodone period.. Because of the abuse of Dr. & people buying them to feel high.. I was so upset.. I told her how can u not tell the consumer that.. Who knows what they put in A333.. I just left my PM Dr. He gave me a script for hydrocodone 10/325.. I took it... But I'm not taking it to Walgreens... I know.. I'm sure that the hydro's are less stronger than the oxy's... My cousin.. Has Endocet.. Which contains OxyCodone & acetamephine 10/325... The MFG is Endo pharmaceutical... They did help me... She gets it from a small drug strore... You are right, Riley.. It's all about Money!!! For Walgreens.. Who gets it cheaper.. & Actavis not caring.. & false advertisement.. & As far as the A333 being generic for Percocet.. They all are a bunch of Liars!!! I hope this info helps you.. So your Dr. Can prescribe Endocet.. They work.. I've tried brand Name & generic.. But remember Endo pharmaceuticals.. K.. Talk to u soon.. Good Luck

Hello. I also switched to hydrocodone 10/325 and I made sure they were Watson. Watson still makes those. They only stopped making generic percocet. These work great! I was on watson percocet 10/325 before these.

Just saw your post. I recently was given this variation of oxycodin with A333 on it. This particular brand has caused me some stomache discomfort and does NOT seem as strong as the previous generic brand. I have reported this to my Dr. and he has specified on his new Rx to not substitute to this generic. He wrote DAW, dispense as written on the form.

I too have suffered from receiving the Actavis A333 pill - it has to be worst on market. Not only did I get sick, have severe stomach problems, It Does Absolutely Nothing for Pain!! Pharmacies around our area are supplied with this form of cheap generic oxy/acet 10-325 now. Regular pharm was out of my normal brand. Sine the 10-325 are so difficult to get in our area, Pharm suggested the lower mg of 5-325, Well just so Everyone Know's Actavis Now Produces and distributes them - I again had problems with this Brand, felt ill & did Not provide Any Pain RELIEF! Since it was lower mg, dr said take 2 to help until my regular brand came in, I did not vomit, but felt as if I was and had bad stomach aches, not to mention still in a lot of Pain. Something in this Brand does not agree with me & I wont ever take this crap Brand again.
