What Pharmacy Wil Fill This?

script says dispense when presented but the date is a few weeks away,what pharmacy will fill this?

I have a script for subutex that says fill when presented but is dated for 8/24 to 9/23 . does anyone know where I can get this filled? one pharmacy told me they would fill it over the phone then when I got there the lady I spoke to was gone and they wouldn't fill it.

They won't fill a pre-dated prescription, it would be illegal for them to do so.

A doctor isn't even allowed to write them like that for controlled substances and they could be reported and get in trouble for it.

I would bring the written prescription back to the original doctor and tell him/her to please re-write the script, not using a pre-dated date!

It's true that they cannot fill a post-dated Rx, but they can keep it in file. It is not against the law for the physician to write it for you ahead of time, but it IS against the law for the pharmacy to fill it. The main problem is that the Rx might expire prior to the fill date. Otherwise, you should only have to wait, all should be well. Except your frustration levels.
