What Louisiana Pharmacy Fills Texas Scripts

My father is disabled due to 4 back surgeries has iron plates n screws in his back. He has a decent doctor in Texas only problem is we live in Louisiana and his pharmacy that was filling his prescriptions got shut down due to bad accusations. Can someone please let me know Where I can take my father fill his medications?!?!

Good luck with that. .just went thru exact thing with husband. He is terminally ill. Now they are saying after 12 years of treating him in TX that the TX med board won't allow them to rx any narcotics to anyone further than 30 miles of where u live. All his louisiana Dr's sent him out of state bc severing of conditions. This is so sad and this is taking people's rights away. Thought that law stated you have the right to have pain treated accurately and effectively to live somewhat of a comfortable life.

If you get a rx for a controlled substance filled by an out of state dr who doesn't have a license to practice medicine in the state of louisiana, you can only get a 10 days supply. And it will be 90 days before you can get another rx filled if it is written for the same thing by the same dr. This law went into effect Aug 1, 2014 in Louisiana. Your best bet is to get it filled in Texas.
