What Causes Suboxone To Show Up On Drug Test When

I am being taken off the pain clinic for severe headaches and back pain because a test showed up suboxen and I have never taken that I need to desprately find out and see if it is anything I have taken or was prescribed as I also take physk meds and tonic water for leg cramps is the only thing new that I have taken, and a addarol please help

First, the main question is, what type of test did they do? Most regular drug tests do not show a specific medication, but just the drug class. For instance it would show opiates, rather than specifically Suboxone.

A test that shows the specific drugs is much more expensive and takes much longer to perform.

That said, even if they did that type of test, no, the only thing that would show up as the Buprenorphine would be Buprenorphine.

There are, however, some Psychiatric medications that can give false positives for other medications, but without knowing what you are taking, I can't give you any other information on that.

Have you tried asking the doctor what kind of test they did and what it specifically showed?

They have to check for suboxon [it is expesive] doesn't show up on a regular drug screen. Somebody probally called the doctor on you or it might be the other medicne your taking.

Are you so sure it was for the suboxone ? You could have been denied pm treatment because of the cocktail of psych meds and the addoral - I know you cannot take take pain medications with benzos, or with addoral - at least most pain mgmt clinic docs do not like that. The number one cause of overdose is mixing of the benzos and the pain meds (opioids).
