Viibryd.....hoping This Will Be My Miracle Pill.

I am interested in other peoples experiences with viibryd, and hopefully help anyone else if I can,as it can be very frustrating finding the right medication. first off,I am taking this due to horrible anxiety and very frequent panic attacks,as well as depression. I took paxil years ago,tried to go back on it,it was awful. Then my doc. Put me on lexapro for a month,but I gained #15,was incredibly lethargic and lazy,and completely killed my sex drive. I was completely numb in my girl parts. So my psychiatrist started me on viibryd,weaning off lexapro. I am now I finishing up my last 20mg. Tonight,then start on the 40 mg. tomorrow. So far,I feel a but more energy,I fall asleep ok,but if I wake up,its very difficult to fall back asleep. I had diareah maybe 3 times, that has stopped,but i'm always nauseated. And I have been very,very dizzy for the past 3 days straight. I was lucky to have had a 3 day weekend,hoping the side effect of dizziness went away,but it has gotten worse. I am concerned going back to work tomorrow. I am a hairstylist,and can't be dizzy with scissors in my hand! On the positive side,my sexdrive is through the roof. Hope that continues.the dizziness however,needs to go away.

The dizziness and nausea frequently occur together, but should taper off in severity as your body adjusts to the medication and the tapering of the other one.

Viibryd seems to be about a 50/50 mixed bag, just like any other medication, there have been people that posted great results and those that had bad experiences.

Thank you so much for your reply. I am now on the fourth dose of 40mg. From the starter pack. I take my viibryd at night before bed,then I wake up ok,but then the dizziness starts about a hour after waking up. I get so dizzy,I walk around slowly,and hold onto things,like the couch, counter tops, its so weird. But then it eases up,then I can leave for work. I get dizzy spells at work,but they don't last long,and they seems to be getting better. Nueasea is constant all day,but just randomly gets bad off and on. Now I have insane insomnia. I have slept about 9 hours within the last 3 days. I'm incredibly sleepy, then have a awful time falling asleep. Its like my body is just exhausted,but my brain is wired,then I just have racing thoughts,while I lie there,desperate to fall asleep. Hope that crazy side effect goes away.. I hope I sleep tonight!I'm deliriously tired! On the plus side, initially while taking the 20.Mg, I would wake up so sad. Depressed for no apparent reason, but that has stopped. Anxiety feels like its easing.yesterday driving to work,with no warning, I had a super intense panic attack,that was so severe, it took my breath away. (I had already taken a xanax about 1 hour before) so I pulled over, sat there for maybe 10 minutes, it was gone. And I haven't had any panic attacks since. So I'm really hoping the viibryd is working. If only I can sleep!

Tonight I will be taking my 6th dose of 49mg. Viibryd,and today is the second morning I woke up feeling good. Yesterday I drove one of my bad trigger routes,for a panic attack,and I didn't have one,and no anxiety all day. Day 2 of feeling like a great heaviness has been lifted from my chest and mind.it feels as if I am actually seeing things clearer. The trees are greener,the sky is bluer.hard to explain,but it feels good! I have been taking my viibryd at 5 pm,instead of right before bed,and I finally have been sleeping . Hope the insomnia is over. The dizziness has gone away too. I only have nauesea daily,but its tolerable. I hope this lasts, because I actually feel very good. I am also in my PMS week, and I normally have wicked PMS with severe depression, but at the moment, I have none of that.just my typical PMS cramps.
