I guess I'm different from most of you (sorta). I've been taking Triamt for 3 years now and the only negative results are rare cramps to the back of my right thigh. The rate of my hair loss hasn't changed significantly, and my weight stays at my normal margin. I take it daily for the swelling of my left leg and foot following heart bypass surgery.

Aside from having to urinate alot for a while after taking it, I've not had any problems and I've been taking it for a few years.

i started this pill to help me pull water weight gain off and help my blood pressure, now i have been having severe stomache cramps that are so painful that i have passed out and been rushed to the ER. I have been having occurances of my chest feeling tight and painful, like a stinging ache and my stomache has muscle attacks that have worsened where u can see my stomach moving and jerking and actually pushed-out of my belly. i got off the pill for 3 days and the pain left in an instance. then i spoke to my DR. and she adviced me to only take the pill when i needed it. i noticed the 3 days of being off the pill my stomach swell, i was constipated and i wasn't able to use the bathroom as i should. so, i tried to increase exercise but my stomach coninued to bloat. once i got back on the pill, the bloating stopped but the pains came back suddenly!

I've been taking triamt-hctz for 3 or 4 years, now. I must be one of the lucky ones - - - I 've never had any negative side effects. Of course maybe those who have no side effects never even look mat this page? But I want y'all to know that some have no problems with this medication. It just gets rid of that extra body fluids that seem to collect down in my ankles. I do need to tap a kidney more often.

I took triamt/hctz for over 2 yr and had sever cramps from the back of my head to my feet. plus my head shooked bad .since i got off it i am just 100% better

I have been on Triamt/HCTZ 75-50 mg for the last 7 yrs...I have at times, severe aching joints, mostly when I have sat for awhile. I have not lost any weight and it just doesn't seem to make much difference if I take it or not anymore, as I have got alot of swelling. I was prescribed this for water retention. I now have blood pressure problems and am wondering if it is messing up my whole system. Is anyone experiencing the sever joint pain like I am?

I have been taking this triamt-hctz for a minute and I have noticed that I hold less water, my weight his dropping and I have not yet experienced any chest pains, but I have experienced mild leg, feet and hand cramping. I just eat something full of potassium and call it a day. I feel it is really helping me..try balancing your diet it you can't eat a full meal, replace it with juice (diluted) veggies and/or fruits. I promise you will see a huge difference in the cramping.

I am 48. no blood pressure problems and no diabetes. I am going through the change and my body is holding fliud. This pill really does get rid of the fluid! no leg cramps but I eat a ton of pineapples (loaded with potassium). I am experiencing indigestion -- could this be a side effect?

I am currently taking this medication. One thing for sure, you must make sure you are drinking enough water. I was on Hydrochlort, but my doc said that Hydrochlort tends to deplete your body of potassium and magnesium. He said that Triamt Hctz does not deplete your body of potassium and magnesium as much.

My Dr. Rx this medication after I had gained 20 lbs in water weight. He told me to take it as needed. Except for the thirst and headaches when I take it I havent had any other side effects. I lost all the water weight I was retaining and when I feel heavy I just take a pill with breakfast and I am good to go. Sorry to hear so many people are having issues. Good luck

Wow, i've been on this for oh less than a year but a while and i've never ever had any side effects like you folks are talking about. sorry you have. it's been a tremendous help with blood pressure and no cramping/stomach aches anything. make sure it's not reacting with something or whatever.

trimt/hctz expells water from the body...i take a pill just for that and when you pull that much fluid out you also flush out your potassium, which will cause craps in muscles...i have to take potassium pills to counter act the cramps

I was aware of urinating frequently but as the day continued very lethargic. ZUMBA class was a wash. I could hardly move instant mucsle fatigue and headache with nausea set in for 18hrs. Have informed DR. waiting response.

I just started taking this drug for swelling in my legs. It has reduced the swelling completely and like others, I've had some severe cramping. I'm also going to start taking potassium to offset the cramping. I have also had some vomitting but I am not sure it's a result of this drug. I'm going to wait another day to see if the vomitting persists. If so, I will consult with my doctor for an alternate diuretic.

No adverse effects from this med--only constipation every once in a while This med is supposed to cause little loss from pottassium . I have had good luck with Dyazide

I have been taking this pil trim. 37.5-25 for approx. 18 years. I tried other blood pressure meds and they always messed me up and had to go back to tria. Now when a specialist wants to change my meds I tell him to forget it. this works just fine. When some goes to he specialist because they are sick most of the time their pressure is up some .
