This is a generic for the antibiotic Bactrim and it may cause nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Its May 2015 I was given SMZ TMP DS for a bladder infection, after 5 days I was so sick I stopped taking it.that was 2 weeks ago .I am still feeling bad, with pains in back and limbs, when I do sleep I get nightmares, anxiety, lightheadedness and dizzy.I wish I had never taken it, my question is how long do the side effects last ..thanks

This is an antibiotic drug which contains Sulfamethoxazole 800 mg / Trimethoprim 160 mg, manufactured by Amneal. (NDC 53746-272). This is different from Fluoroquinolone antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin (and other drugs ending in "floxacin").
